“I’m Looking Forward to This”: Trump Says He’s Doesn’t “Have To be Nice” to Michelle Obama After She Said “Bad Things” about Him

Former President Donald Trump recently spoke out against Michelle Obama after she made derogatory comments toward him while hitting the campaign trail with Vice President Kamala Harris in a last-ditch effort to bolster support as Election Day fast approaches.  While calling out former President Barrack Obama for being a “divider,” Trump also suggested he was “looking forward” to not being “nice anymore” to Michelle following her comments.

For context, the former first lady had voiced her disbelief that the race was so close between Harris and Trump while trying to convince the crowd that the vice president was ready to step up and lead the Democratic ticket. Furthermore, Obama sounded off on Trump, claiming he suffers from “mental decline” and is grossly incompetent.

At the rally in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Trump said, “And we’re not going to let them divide and destroy America any longer. And that goes for Barack Hussein Obama too. He’s a divider. He’s a divider. And Michelle, oh, she said bad things about me. Michelle got out there the other day. Oh, I’ve been very nice to her. I guess that means I don’t have to be nice anymore. Oh, this is I’m looking forward to this now. Obama was a great divider. He was a great, great divider.”

The American Tribune also reported on Trump addressing Obama’s remarks at another recent rally in Atlanta, in which he described her comments toward him as “nasty.”  He said, “You know who is nasty to me, Michelle Obama.” He added, “I always tried to be so nice and respectful. Oh, she opened up a little bit of a … little bit of a box. She opened up a little bit of something. She was nasty. Shouldn’t be that way. That was a big mistake that she made.”

While campaigning for Kamala Harris, Michelle asked the crowd, “I gotta ask myself, why on earth is this race even close?  I lay awake at night wondering what in the world is going on. And it’s clear to me that the question isn’t whether Kamala is ready for this moment because by every measure, she has demonstrated that she’s ready. The real — the real question is, as a country, are we ready for this moment?”

Continuing to criticize the Republican presidential candidate, “I hope that you will forgive me if I’m a little frustrated that some of us are choosing to ignore Donald Trump’s gross incompetence while asking Kamala to dazzle us at every turn. I hope that you will forgive me if I’m a little angry that we are indifferent to Donald Trump’s erratic behavior.”

The former Democratic first lady claimed, “His obvious mental decline, his history as a convicted felon, a known slumlord, a predator found liable for sexual abuse. All of this while we pick apart Kamala’s answers from interviews that he doesn’t even have the courage to do.”  Watch Trump’s comments at the recent rally below:
