Far-left “Squad” Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) raged on Friday, February 20, as the deadline for her husband to turn over information related to the eyebrow-rasingly explosive growth of his companies came and went, with the woke representative furiously insisting that the corruption investigation is a mere “stunt” in which the Republicans are engaging for political reasons.
As background, the Squad congresswoman’s family finances are under investigation because the companies held by her husband, Tim Muynett, saw rapid and sudden growth over 2024 that makes little sense, as many see it as having been far too sharp a growth to have been organic.
In particular, both eStCru LLC, a winery, and Rose Lake Capital LLC, a consulting firm, both of which are partially owned by Mynett, saw their values shoot up like rockets between 2023 and 2024, as was disclosed by the congresswoman, raising questions from onlookers about why that might have been and if corruption was involved.
As such, the House GOP started investigating the matter through the House Oversight Committee, which set a hard deadline of February 19 for Mynett to turn over information related to the sudden and rapid success of the two partially-owned companies at a time when his wife’s political career was entering a rising phase as well.
Specifically, the House Oversight Committee, which is led by Chairman James Comer (R-KY), demanded information from Mynett on travel records related to or from the United Arab Emirates, Somalia, and Kenya. Further, he demanded info on any correspondence the companies have had with federal agencies, such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Mynett, however, did not provide the required details to the House Oversight Committee, and the day after the deadline had blown past, his wife went berserk about the whole situation and the investigation into the family’s alleged corruption in a statement issued by a spokesperson.
In fact, speaking to Fox News Digital about the matter, the spokesperson for Rep. Omar said, “This is all a political stunt. These sham accusations were referred to the Ethics Committee, and our office has not received any follow-up because this is a baseless, headline-generating speculation and a politically targeted attack on the Congresswoman.”

Continuing, the spokesperson for Rep. Omar said that the Republicans should not be investigating her because of Jeffrey Epstein, an utterly nonsensical statement, saying, “If Republicans were interested in real oversight, they would be looking at Trump and his family enriching their net worth by billions of dollars, as well as their connections to their pedophile friend, Jeffrey Epstein.”
On the other side of things, a spokesperson for the House Oversight Committee told Fox News Digital that the materials have not been turned over and that the matter has been referred to the House Ethics Committee. That spokesperson said, “Americans have concerns about Rep. Omar’s skyrocketing wealth while in public office. The House Oversight Committee initiated a probe into these concerns and has asked the House Ethics Committee to do its job and review this matter.”
