In a surprising announcement on social media, former Superman actor Dean Cain, a successful filmmaker and sworn law enforcement officer, announced that he had “joined up” with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

For context, he is an American actor, producer, and television host best known for portraying Superman in the 1990s TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. After his role as Clark Kent shot him into the spotlight, he enjoyed a long career in Hollywood. An outspoken conservative, Cain has made no secret of his support for veterans and law enforcement.

In any case, a video of Cain’s announcement was posted to social media on August 5, 2025. Starting his remarks, the patriotic actor began by establishing his credibility. He said, “Hey, everybody. Dean Cain, here, and for those who don’t know, I am a sworn law enforcement officer, as well as being a filmmaker. I felt it was important to join with our first responders to help secure the safety of all Americans, not just talk about it.”

Explaining his connection to ICE, Cain stated, “So I joined up, and here’s your opportunity to join ICE. You can earn lots of great benefits and pay yet, since President Trump took office, ice has arrested hundreds of 1000s of criminals, including terrorists, rapists, murderers, pedophiles, MS, 13 gang members, drug traffickers, you name it, very dangerous people who are no longer on the streets, you can defend your homeland and get great benefits like a $50,000 signing bonus.”

Still not done, the well-loved actor described the significant benefits of working for ICE. Cain invited, “Think about that, student loan repayment, legally enhanced retirement benefits, and special pay for those in the field operations and law enforcement roles.”

Digging into the details, the former Superman actor said, “I don’t get that special pay, but you also don’t need an undergraduate degree. You can get to work right away. So if you want to help save America, ICE is arresting the worst of the worst and removing them from America’s streets.”

Concluding his remarks, Cain gave his full endorsement to ICE and their essential mission. The Hollywood veteran said, “I like that. I voted for that. They need your help. We need your help to protect our homeland and our families, so check into it, as I said, and join today if it’s something that tickles your fancy, because we can use you.”

Despite widespread popular support for ICE, some states have been plagued by violent anti-ICE protesters, prompting a harsh response from the Trump administration. As we reported, Gregory K. Bovino, Commander-Operation at Large California and current Chief of the El Centro Border Patrol Sector, took to X to slam a protester for spitting on an ICE agent.

Watch the clip of Dean Cain here:

Reacting to the unacceptable behavior, he said, “It was a bad day to be wearing his anti-ICE shirt. 🤦‍♂️,” adding, “Our agents swiftly served him a warrant in Los Angeles. California might coddle criminals, but we don’t. If you assault a federal agent, you earn federal consequences.”
