In an absolutely massive announcement from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) showing how much hard work Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is putting in to keep Americans safe from violent, criminal illegal aliens, the department announced that it had arrested an illegal alien who recrossed into America and has a host of criminal incidents on his record, some of them quite serious.
As background, the open border from the Biden era led to a massive influx of illegal aliens into America that, when paired with the similarly massive number of illegal aliens already here, created a massive, nearly intractible problem that the Trump Administration is working hard to reverse, and has massively expanded ICE to deal with.
As such, one of its primary focuses is cracking down on the criminals in America who are illegal aliens, and making sure they are locked up or pushed out of the country. Amongst those arrested as part of that push was a criminal illegal alien for El Salvador, as DHS announced in the press release, saying, “U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of Carlos Ramirez-Guzman, a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador.”
Continuing, it noted that his “criminal history includes charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer, domestic battery, exhibition of a dangerous weapon, resisting, obstructing, or opposing a law enforcement officer, [and] disorderly conduct.”
Then, noting that he committed a serious felony in re-entering after being deported in addition to those other horrific offenses, the DHS press release provided, that he also faces charges related to “illegally re-entering the United States after deportation, which is a felony. ICE officers arrested Ramirez-Guzman October 17, 2025, in Arlington, Virginia.”
Describing that offense later on, and noting that it is still somewhat unclear when he reentered the country, DHS said, “Ramirez-Guzman illegally re-entered the United States on an unknown date, at an unknown location, and without being inspected, admitted, or paroled by a U.S. immigration official.”
And, noting that he has now done that repeatedly, the statement provided, “ICE officers removed Ramirez-Guzman from the United States to El Salvador on three separate occasions in 2006, 2014, and 2016. Ramirez-Guzman will remain in ICE custody pending his removal from the United States.”

DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin, commenting on the arrest, said, “Carlos Ramirez-Guzman racked up an extensive criminal history over the last 21 years he has spent ignoring America’s laws. Not only has this man been removed from our country on THREE previous occasions, but he also has a violent criminal history of assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer, domestic battery, and resisting arrest.”
Continuing, McLaughlin noted that such repeat lawbreakers are not welcome in America and will not be tolerated any longer, as shown by this arrest and the hard work from ICE that led to it, saying, “Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, this criminal illegal alien’s crime spree has come to an end. GOOD RIDDANCE, you are not welcome in this country.”
