The wins continue rolling in for American border security, with a great many criminal illegal aliens being caught and deported as Immigration and Customs Enforcement works with Border Patrol and the Department of Homeland Security to crack down on illegal immigrants who are settled in the country. Such a win came recently when ICE caught an illegal alien with a lengthy criminal record stalking a federal official, arresting him and preparing to deport him.
Such is what the Department of Homeland Security announced in a statement, noting that the crime-prone illegal alien, an El Salvadorian national named Jose Madrid Reyes, had been arrested by ICE after being identified as a stalker by HSI. HSI had been contacted after a federal official worried she was being stalked and that the stalker might harm her child.
Beginning the statement, Homeland Security provided that the criminal illegal alien with a lengthy rap sheet had been arrested, saying, “The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the arrest of a criminal illegal alien with a history of violent offenses including assault, accused of stalking a mother and U.S. government official, and two convictions for driving while intoxicated.”
Continuing, Homeland Security described how it got involved in the case and noted that the mother was aware enough to perceive that she was being stalked by someone who seemed dangerous. It noted, “Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) began investigating this criminal illegal alien after a U.S. government official contacted the agency that she feared she was being stalked.
Further, the department noted that while the name of the federal official is being kept undisclosed so that she doesn’t face further such incidents, she worried the stalker might harm her child. It said, “The government official, whose name will remain undisclosed for her protection, was fearful for her family’s safety, including her child’s safety.”
Then, noting that the HSI investigators discovered the responsible party was the illegal alien with a criminal background, the statement provided, “During the investigation, HSI identified the suspected stalker as Jose Madrid Reyes, a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador. His criminal record stretches back nearly two decades.”
Listing off the litany of crimes the illegal alien has committed, DHS then noted, “His rap sheet includes: On August 9, 2006, the Prince William County General District Court in Manassas, VA convicted Madrid of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). On May 19, 2017, the Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court in Fairfax, VA convicted Madrid of Misdemeanor Assault on Family Member. On September 13, 2019, the Fairfax County General District Court in Fairfax, VA convicted Madrid of DWI.”

Despite all those crimes, Reyes was never deported, and so he remained in America, able to commit more crimes and stalk the federal official. Until ICE arrested him: “On July 12, 2025, ICE arrested Jose Madrid Reyes. Despite being ordered removed by an immigration judge in 2022 and denied permanent legal status in 2024, Madrid Reyes remained in the United States illegally,” DHS provided. It then added that his deportation will come soon, saying, “Madrid Reyes will remain in ICE Custody pending his deportation, which is expected within the coming days.”
Commenting on the matter, DHS Assistant Secretary McLaughlin said, “Day-in and day-out, our brave ICE agents are nabbing creeps who shouldn’t be in our country in the first place. On July 12, ICE arrested Jose Madrid Reyes—a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador—who was suspected of stalking a U.S. federal official. We will not allow these predators to terrorize American citizens.”
Assistant Secretary McLaughlin further added that ICE is standing resolute in the face of continued, severe attacks against them, saying, “Despite facing an 830% increase in assaults against them, ICE law enforcement is keeping Americans safe from criminal illegal aliens and sending these slimeballs back to their home countries.”
