U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers were brutally attacked while conducting targeted enforcement operations in Salem, Oregon. The attacks were perpetrated by radical left-wing rioters. The assault, which included officers being attacked by baseball bats, was caught on video, with the footage being captured by Katie Daviscourt a reporter with the Post Millennial.
The incident started at 9:30 a.m. and lasted for half an hour in a parking lot. Footage of the event was captured on a Facebook livestream by Jose A. Garibay Esquivel, who has been identified as a rapid responder who was following the officers at the time. The stream was shared by Daviscourt on social media platform X.
Anti-ICE “response groups,” which are really just radical liberal fringe organizations that utilize violence as a form of protest, mobilized to the scene of the raid, which is when all of the trouble started. Some of those who were participating in the demonstration against ICE sported facial coverings and riot gear, using their bodies and personal vehicles to surround several federal vehicles and interfere with the active operation.
According to Trending Politics News, several other agitators boxed in ICE vehicles with their own cars. Ironically, anti-ICE protesters have condemned immigration officials for wearing face coverings to protect their identities, yet here they are, doing the exact same thing. It’s also important to note that earlier this year, protester Renee Good used her vehicle to interfere with an ICE operation, even attempting to run over an officer, ultimately leading to her death at the hands of the officers on the scene.
Immigration officers tried to move, but the group followed them and enclosed them once again. One of the individuals was holding a metal baseball bat and continually threatened officers with it and then struck a vehicle with the bat as agents attempted to leave the area. Daviscourt then reported that some folks associated with Antifa, which the Trump administration officially designated a domestic terrorist organization in an executive order signed in September 2025, were present during the incident.
These events followed a different confrontation that took place the previous day at 3935 Silverton Road NE. During that incident, one of the agitators present jumped onto the hood of an ICE vehicle to block the windshield. When an officer got out of the car to remove him, the person put an arm around the officer’s neck and dug his nails into his shoulder before throwing a punch that the officer slipped out of the way of.
At the time, the person who threw a punch at the officer was not detained. Other protesters surrounded the federal vehicles. Local and state law enforcement were of no use, providing no assistance in compliance with Oregon sanctuary policies. Both incidents also align with the creation of “ICE Watch,” which is a network of liberal groups in cities spread across the state and even the country.

The groups that make up the networks utilize communication tools like Signal and Facebook to trace the movements of agents, film operations, trail blockades, vehicle positioning, and direct confrontations. Assaults on ICE officers have increased sharply during this recent period of heightened immigration enforcement, according to data shared by the Department of Homeland Security.
