Reacher star Alan Ritchson is finding out the hard way that there are consequences for spouting off bad political takes and alienating half of your audience. Ritchson infuriated President Donald Trump’s supporters while doing a round of podcasts to promote some of his new film and television projects, such as Reacher season 4, when he took several opportunities to bash Trump and chat about the Epstein files.
Ritchson, 43, has become one of the leading outspoken critics of President Trump, 80, despite the fact that a huge portion of his viewing audience is made up of conservative viewers. During an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Ritchson went on a profanity-laced tirade about the Epstein files, while also making some not-so-veiled references to Trump, alleging he was “all up into 13-year-olds.”
The reference about young girls is a nod to allegations contained in the Epstein files where a woman claimed that deceased billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein introduced her to Trump in 1985, when she was just 13 years old. She then claims that Trump forced her to perform a sex act on him. However, Trump has denied those allegations and there is no evidence to support the claims being true.
According to a report from Yahoo Entertainment, Ritchson kicked off his rant by saying, “Look at the politics that we deal with right now,” Ritchson said. “Like, the White House is in ruins, a f—ing UFC cage on the lawn. And like, you just do it! You just f—ing do it! And nobody says anything!” The Motor City actor was just getting started.
“What are we doing?” Ritchson explained. “And there’s no consequences…I’m just supposed to let go of my resentment that this f—king guy is just raping the world that he lives in for whatever gain he personally can have, and I’m supposed to let that go? And then what?” The actor then said, “It f—ing still exists. So, no, I’m not good at letting go. I f—ing hate it. I hate that that s— still lives in the world, unabated, unchecked, unresolved, uncleansed.”
Conservatives have been following through on their promise not to watch the show, as the viewership and reviews for season 4 are some of the worst the program has pulled in thus far. The official account for Rush Limbaugh News reacted to Ritchson’s comments, saying, “I won’t be watching!” He then went on to explain in his post how freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences.

“Season 4 premiered Tuesday. Conservative fans are calling for a boycott. Some are done with him entirely, including his other film and TV projects. Say what you want on a podcast. Just don’t be shocked when the same audience buying the tickets remembers it,” the account concluded. “I’ve read every Lee Child Reacher book in the series to date. I enjoyed the first 2 seasons adapted from those novels and Ritchson is a great Jack Reacher. Then he started talking,” one user said.
“The only thing bigger than his muscles is his p***y,” conservative journalist Laura Loomer said. “Actors are generally not highly intelligent and it would be best if low IQs would stop influencing weaker minds,” someone else commented. “I finished Season 1 of Reacher and then I heard this idiot talk and I haven’t watched a single episode since,” someone wrote.
