“I Wish that Fox Would just get rid of her already”: Commenters Demand FNC Fire Jessica Tarlov after She Downplays Somali Fraud Allegations, Attacks Nick Shirley [WATCH]

A clip of Fox News co-host Jessica Tarlov attempting to downplay Somali fraud allegations and attacking fraud buster and independent journalist Nick Shirley has resurfaced on social media and is increasing calls for the network to boot her to the curb. In the clip, Tarlov expresses skepticism that a single YouTuber (Shirley) was able to uncover “$100 million worth of fraud on his own” in Minneapolis.

“It’s going to get incredibly complicated for him,” Tarlov said about Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz during a conversation on “The Five” about the massive amounts of fraud that was uncovered by Shirley and subsequent investigations by federal authorities in December 2025. Shirley’s video confronting Somali-run daycare centers that seemingly had no children present during their hours of operation received millions of views.

“Obviously, he’s been considering 2028. I think that that will be more difficult when something like this has gone on in your state while you were in office, even if you were not personally involved in,” Tarlov continued. She then reacted to Shirley’s YouTube video, which alleged that daycare centers in the state were empty and being used to fraudulently funnel $110 million from the state government.

“Nick Shirley’s reporting, there’s no way that this kid walking around uncovered $100 million worth of fraud on his own. There have been tons of people working behind the scenes quietly, including independent local journalists that have been exposing this. I don’t know about the veracity of every single thing that he’s gone and seen – that’s being debated online – but obviously there’s a huge problem here,” she continued, according to Yahoo News.

“It does Democrats no favors to get partisan about this and to dig in and say, ‘Oh it absolutely couldn’t be happening because it’s my team that this happened to.’ That argument that it has not been covered is ludicrous,” she added. “People don’t want to just do simple Google searches. The biggest story about this came from the New York Times and it made liberals look terrible […] It wasn’t published in a far-right publication, it was published in the Times.”

After Shirley’s video went viral, the independent journalist called for Walz to be held accountable for allowing the fraud to be so widespread in Minnesota. “Tim Walz and the fraudsters aren’t escaping this one. In one day my crew and I uncovered over $110,000,000 in fraud, this is just the tip of the iceberg,” Shirley said. “We the people simply work too hard and pay too much in taxes to allow this to happen, they must be held accountable.”

Commenters on the resurfaced video shared their frustration with having to continue listening to Tarlov wax on and off about the issues of the day, often lying in the process. “I wish that Fox would just get rid of her already. Her shrilly voice kills me,” one user wrote. “She is just salty she can’t get the views he got! No one wants to watch her spin lies!” another person said.

“Next show she will be spewing her ratios and percentages… saying how many Americans agree and don’t agree… as if she got off her fat a** and did her own research,” user Lauren B said. “She will never go investigate it herself, just criticize someone else doing her job for her,” Radioactive Red stated in a response to the clip.
