“I Want Prosecutions for Corruption and Fraud”: Internet Sounds Off after DOGE Exposes Biden Team Member Who Swindled Taxpayers Out of Half a Billion for Fraudulent Contracts

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) made headlines after terminating a contract with a San Antonio-based nonprofit called Family Endeavors, claiming the termination would save taxpayers over $215 million annually. This is another massive win for Elon Musk and his team, their continued efforts are one of the Trump Administration’s most prominent goals, exposing massive amounts of fraud and the misuse of federal funds.

For context, Family Endeavors reportedly received around $18 million per month from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to manage a migrant housing facility in Pecos, Texas. DOGE’s investigators uncovered lies and discovered that this facility remained largely empty despite substantial payments from HHS. After years of abuse, millions of taxpayer dollars were thrown into the corrupt hands of the individuals in charge of these contracts.

For reference, DOGE’s mission pushes for accountability, removing government waste, and eliminating fraud, contrasting sharply with the previous administration. The termination of the Family Endeavors contract raises the veil of accountability within government programs, giving taxpayers hope that their money isn’t being filtered into fraudulent causes.

For example, a former ICE employee and transition member for the Biden administration joined Family Endeavors in 2021, during that same year, the nonprofit secured a significant HHS contract. This coincided with Endeavors’ finances skyrocketing from $8.3 million in 2020 to over $520 million by 2023. The DOGE team revealed multiple levels of corruption, a lot of which spawned or got worse under the Biden Administration.

The story received a massive reaction on X, many accounts were calling for prosecutions. One X user, claimed, “DOGE canceled a $215 million contract for a Texas nonprofit that operated a housing facility for migrants. The housing facility has been sitting empty for months. An administrator of the nonprofit was a Biden and ICE official. I don’t just want cancellations. I want prosecutions for corruption and fraud.”

Corruption was a major concern for many users on X, prompting several accounts to voice their opinions on how blatantly obvious the corruption is. An X user has this to say in response, “Canceling the $215M contract’s a start—empty migrant housing raking in cash screams grift. With a Biden-ICE insider in the mix, it’s not just waste; it’s a neon sign for corruption.”

Another user referenced the recent devastation of Hurricane Helene, a horrific storm that devastated many communities; the Biden administration famously did very little to support the victims. An X user noted, how ridiculous it is for the previous administration to leave so little for Americans in need while supporting corruption, saying, “$215 million for an empty building for illegals. $750 to Hurricane Helene CITIZENS, who lost everything. You cannot hate these people enough.”

DOGE’s aggressive stance against fiscal irresponsibility sends a strong message to corrupt government agencies and fraudulent contractors. The Trump Administration is prioritizing taxpayer interests and allowing DOGE to charge forward, reinforcing the urgency for transparency and integrity and providing hope to citizens demanding real accountability in federal spending.
