“I Think He’s Sleeping”: DJT Hilariously Torches Brandon in Epic Statement on Hurricane Response [WATCH]

Former President Donald Trump pulled no punches when it came to mocking and sounding off on former President Joe Biden. That came during a planned trip to Valdosta, Georgia, where the former president traveled to meet with emergency responders and hand out emergency supplies in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

As background, Helene wreaked havoc across the eastern seabord section of the southeast, hammering not only parts of Alabama and Florida, but also Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Despite that massive damage, damage in some ways comparable to Hurricane Katrina, President Joe Biden has not traveled to the afflicted areas.

Former President Trump, commenting on how President Joe Biden has handled the crisis and joking about the elderly president’s seeming unwillingness or inability to deal with issues, said that he has not discussed plans for federal disaster relief with the sitting president because he is asleep and shouldn’t be woken.

That came when one reporter asked former President Trump if he has spoken to President Biden about federal plans for relief. That reporter asked, “Have you reached out to President Biden about federal relief efforts?” Trump fired back, “No, I haven’t reached out to him. I think he’s sleeping right now, actually.”

Trump also praised Georgia Governor Brian Kemp for being responsive to the crisis, but then hammered the federal government, including President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, for being quite the opposite. He said, “The Governor’s doing a very good job. He’s having a hard time getting the President on the phone … The federal government is not being responsive … the Vice President, she’s out someplace campaigning looking for money.”

The former president also commented on the broad array of supplies he brought to the afflicted area, saying, “We came down with truckloads of different items, from oil to water. We’re here today to stand with complete solidarity with the people of Georgia and all those suffering in the terrible aftermath of Hurricane Helene.”

Former President Donald Trump also posted about the matter of Hurricane Helene on Truth Social, saying, “I spoke to Elon Musk about his brilliant communication system for North Carolina and Georgia. So many of their lines are down. He is on it!!!” and “A REALLY BAD RESPONSE TO HURRICANE FROM KAMALA AND JOE!”

In another post on the same matter, he said, To every family that has been displaced here in Georgia, in North Carolina, and throughout the region, our hearts are with you in this hour of need. You are in our prayers today, and throughout all the long weeks that lay ahead. We love you—we are with you—and we will be back again and again”

President Joe Biden, for his part, was asked, “On the hurricane, why weren’t you and VP Harris here in Washington commanding this this weekend?” The president, who had been at the beach the day before, insisted that he had been “commanding,” saying, “I was commanding. I was on the phone for two hours yesterday.”
