Actor Alan Ritchson, star of the Amazon Prime hit television series Reacher, made a recent appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast where he went on a wild, expletive-riddled temper tantrum against President Donald Trump and decided to throw more than a few darts at the Catholic Church while he was at it. A clip of the interview is going viral on social media.
Ritchson’s rant started when he recalled an exchange he had with film director Guy Ritchie while working on a film called The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. “I was working with Guy Ritchie on Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, and one of my favorite things about working with him is he’s an intellectual,” the Motor City actor said.
“He said at one point, ‘I think everybody should wake up in a pool of their own teeth and blood at some point,” Ritchson said, noting that Ritchie believed this would improve the state of the world and humanity. “And I was like, “At the time I was like, no, no, that’s like such an Old Testament God kind of thing, and like there’s a whole new way of doing things. You should love everybody, and he like so vehemently disagreed.”
“And since that point in time, so many things have happened in my life where I’m like, it would be so much better if everybody…look at the politics that we we deal with right now. Like the White House is in ruins. A f***ing UFC cage on the lawn, and like, you just do it. You just f***ing do it, and nobody says anything, and no consequences,” Ritchson’s rant continued, his temper gaining steam the more he prattled on.
The actor then accused Trump of “raping the world” for personal gain. “Nobody asked. It wasn’t done legally. There’s no plan in place. Now you’re asking for money to create. It’s like, what are we doing? And there’s no consequences. And so you okay? So like, I’m just supposed to let go of my resentment that this f***ing guy is just raping the world that he lives in for whatever gain he personally can have, and I’m supposed to let that go?”
“And then what? It f***ing still exists. I don’t know. I’m not good at letting go. I f***ing hate it. I hate that that s**t still lives in the world, unabated, unchecked, unresolved, uncleaned,” he said. Then Ritchson started directing his hatred away from Trump and attacked the Catholic Church and accused it of “predatory behavior.”
“Look at the Catholic Church and like the predatory behavior that is just going completely unmet with those victims that are still like unheard, unseen, no forgiveness, no resolution, no cure. And what is what is releasing the f***ing resentment going to do for the world?” Ritchson exploded. “Like I think we should hold on to some of that anger so somebody gets Guy Ritchie and wakes up in a pool of their own teeth and blood.” One person commented on the clip summing up the feelings of MAGA supporters everywhere, writing, “I stopped watching Reacher the moment I heard his TDS bulls**t.”
