Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance recently responded epically to a hostile reporter suggesting he was too serious. Vance offered an epic response to the reporter, while also taking a jab at the mainstream media, which has incessantly attacked the Trump campaign.
The reporter began his question, wondering what brought the Ohio senator happiness amid the severe world of politics. “Little bit different here. You’ve been criticized as being too serious sometimes. What makes you smile? What makes you happy?” they asked. Vance offered a light-hearted response, maintaining that he often has an enjoyable time while he is leading campaign events.
However, Vance acknowledged that sometimes his frustration and anger are justified. “Well, I smile a lot of things, including bogus questions from the media. Man. I mean, look, I think if you watch, if you watch a full speech that I give, I actually, I’m having a good time out here, and I’m enjoying this, but look, sometimes you got to take the good with the bad, and right now I am angry,” the vice presidential candidate said.
As the election approaches and media Vance has been applauded for his ability to maneuver the incessant hostility toward his campaign from much of the mainstream media. The American Tribune recently reported on an incident in which Vance brilliantly shut down CNN’s Dana Bash amid a contentious conversation about the Haitian migrants allegedly eating cats and dogs in Springfield, Ohio.
“Dana, first of all, let me just respond to a couple things that,” Vance said during the interview. “You said, but I want to start with something you said, which I think is, frankly, disgusting and is more appropriate for a democratic propagandist than it is for an American journalist,” he added, suggesting the liberal network is nothing more than a propaganda arm for the Democratic Party.
However, Vance made sure to condemn the unacceptable violence that has been perpetrated toward the town of Springfield amid the controversial, “There is nothing that I have said that has led to threats against these hospitals, these hospitals, the bomb threats and so forth. It’s disgusting. The violence is disgusting. We condemn it. We condemn all violence. However, Bash interrupted him, saying, “Senator, this happened after you and President Trump on the debate stage said cats and dogs were being eaten.”
After a brief back-and-forth, Vance said, “What we have said is that this town has suffered terribly under the problem under the policies of Kamala Harris.” Vance further emphasized that he is simply advocating for his constituents, who have raised concerns about the influx of migrants. “Now you just accused me of inciting violence against the community, when all that I’ve done is surface the complaints of my constituents, people who are suffering because of Kamala Harris’s policies.”

One of the most consistent attacks against the Trump-Vance campaign has been the Springfield controversy after Trump referenced the allegations during the presidential debate with Vice President Kamala Harris. However, as the criticism has piled on, Vance has refused to back down, maintaining that he and Trump are drawing attention to lesser-covered stories from their constituents.
