Conservative country music star John Rich celebrated a big legal win for freedom and conscience as he revealed that a court case had been decided in his favor.
Rich famously spoke out and stood up against vaccine mandates during the height of the pandemic, at one point canceling one of his shows after the venue changed its policy and demanded he require fans to “show their papers” (i.e. proof of vaccination).
The venue eventually sued him for lost revenue, but Rich held his ground. He shared a tweet revealing that the venue lost their case.
“During the lockdowns, I stated I’d NEVER play a concert venue that forced fans to show their ‘papers’ for entry concerning COVID,” Rich tweeted.
“One venue added that rule after I agreed to play, so I cancelled it,” the country star added. “The promoter sued me. He LOST the case today! Happy to say I never bent the knee.”

Conservatives, country music fans, and Twitter in general applauded the great news and promptly shared their reactions on Twitter.
“Thank you for sticking to your principles. Stands like this are few and far between with high profile people who have a lot to lose,” one said.
“Smiling because your attitude is was perfect and thanks for having the guts to Stand Up for Your Convictions,” another said.
Another quoted Abraham Lincoln, in reference to Rich’s actions, saying: “Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm.”
Yet other comments revealed the bizarre attitude of some vaccinated people, who remain convinced that the only way to stop the virus from spreading is to make sure everyone is jabbed.
“I won’t be attending any of your concerts anytime soon,” one person wrote. “With that attitude, the likely attendees are going to be a concentrated group of anti-vaxxers. It sounds like a great place to catch COVID. To other John Rich fans: if you’re smart, you will stay away too.”
Rich personally replied to the latter comment, giving a thumbs up and telling the commenter that it “sounds like a plan.”
The Daily Wire wrote that Rich has long been an outspoken critic of lockdowns, mandates, and Anthony Fauci.
The conservative country star has spoken out against the lockdowns, vaccine mandates, and has been especially critical of President Joe Biden’s top medical adviser and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauci.
When Fauci announced in August that he was resigning from his role in the federal government in December, Rich was one of many who reacted to the news.
“Fauci has resigned,” Rich tweeted previously. “I’m guessing it’s so he has time to prepare with his lawyers for his appearance at the 2023 Nuremberg Code trials.”
Anthony Fauci made good on his promise to resign, stepping down in December. As of this writing, there are calls for further House and Senate investigations by several prominent GOP congressmen, though nothing has materialized yet.
