In a tragic example of woke culture run wild, Illinois TV anchor Beni Rae Harmony resigned from WICS Newschannel 20 after being suspended for airing a touching personal tribute to Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, following his gruesome assassination.

Unfortunately, Krik was the victim of an assassin’s bullet while speaking to an assembled group of students at Utah Valley University. In the wake of the shooting, many liberals sought to cover up the motivation of the shooting ot minimize the horrific crime.

For context, Harmony, who worked for Kirk from 2021 to 2022, shared an emotional on-air message urging viewers to grieve and speak their beliefs, quoting Kirk’s saying about the dangers of silenced views. She claimed her suspension was for honoring Kirk, although the station denied having any recent firings or suspensions.

In any case, the conservative news anchor began her initial remarks with a heartfelt statement of grief. She said, “Thank you so much for tuning into Marketplace today. So I want to talk about something for a minute, and it is heavy, so please bear with me. I want you to know that it’s okay if you feel sadness. It’s okay if you feel if you’re grieving.”

Describing the events of the day, as well as her personal connection to the slain activist, she noted, “Two days ago, I lost a mentor, my first boss, the first person who made me believe in myself, who encouraged me to chase this dream that you’re watching right now.”

Directing her following remarks to Charlie Kirk, Harmony said, “There’s a lot of there’s a lot going on in our world right now, in our country, but I want to say one thing, lean on your neighbors. Speak up for what you believe in. I don’t care what it is.”

Continuing, she offered a personal anecdote saying, “I want to share with you one of my favorite sayings that Charlie would always tell us at the office. He would yell it from the mountain top. So please listen when conversations stop happening, when individuals become wordless, that’s when violence begins.”

Concluding her heartfelt comments, Harmony stated, “So if you do one thing today, make it be with passion, with conviction. Stand up for your friends. Stand up for your beliefs and speak loudly, even if your voice shakes; your words have meaning. Your values have purpose. Never forget that. Thank you. CK changed my life.”

Unfortunately, this is not where the story ends; apparently, she was let go for her heartfelt message. The journalist took to X to announce, “My resignation is guided by values that are essential to who I am, which I refuse to set aside in order to keep a job. I choose my faith and love of country, and always will. ” In another post, ” she added, “Many in the mainstream media have been fired or punished for mocking his assassination. I believe I am the first to be targeted for honoring him on air.”
