HUGE: Trump Admin Keeps America Safe by Taking Over 7200 Illegally Licensed Truckers Off the Streets

In yet another major move from the Trump Administration and a key win for MAGA, along with Americans generally, the Trump Administration’s Department of Transportation (DOT) announced that it has taken a massive number of illegally-licensed truck drivers off of America’s roads. That is big news, given the horrific deaths that have occurred thanks to blue states like California licensing non-Americans who can’t speak English and have gotten in horrible, deadly wrecks.

As background, Trump’s move to protect American motorists and truck drivers began in earnest on Tuesday, May 20, when DOT Secretary Duffy followed up on orders from President Trump and signed an order directing the DOT to enforce a law requiring truck drivers to speak English. While that law has long been on the books, it has not been enforced as of late, creating dangerous conditions on the roads.

Such is what White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said when she defended the order, saying, “You might not know, but there’s a lot of communication problems between truckers on the road with federal officials and local officials, as well, which obviously is a public safety risk. So we’re going to ensure that our truckers, who are the backbone of our economy, are all able to speak English. That’s a very commonsense policy.”

Similarly, Secretary Duffy said, at the time of the May order, “America First means safety first. Americans are a lot safer on roads alongside truckers who can understand and interpret our traffic signs. This common-sense change ensures the penalty for failure to comply is more than a slap on the wrist.”

Now the policy is rolling onward and has already started having huge results that are proving quite helpful for ordinary Americans. Posting as much on X (formerly Twitter), Secretary Duffy revealed that thousands upon thousands of truck drivers who can’t speak or understand English have been taken off the roads, making America’s roads much safer.

He said, captioning the graphic that was the foundation of the post, “.@USDOT requires commercial truck drivers to speak and understand English to operate a big rig- or they will be taken out of service. This is about @POTUS and his administration making America’s roads SAFE again! 🚛🇺🇸”

The graphic provided a few more details, noting the number of big rig drivers that have been taken off the roads because they can’t meet the common-sense language requirement. It said, “7,248 DRIVERS PLACED OUT OF SERVICE FOR FAILING TO MEET TRUMP’S ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY STANDARDS AS OF OCTOBER 2025”

The announcement is big news, as it comes in the wake of an illegal alien from India killing three Americans on a highway in the far-left, sanctuary state of California, which issued him a Commercial Driver’s License and did not require him to abide by the important English proficiency rules.

Commenting on the case, Secretary Duffy said, “My prayers are with the families of the victims of this tragedy. It would have never happened if Gavin Newsom had followed our new rules. California broke the law, and now three people are dead and two are hospitalized. These people deserve justice. There will be consequences.”
