House Oversight Committee Demands Testimony of Prison Guard on Duty the Night Jeffrey Epstein Died after Mysterious, Eyebrow-Raising Details Emerge

In the wake of mysterious revelations in the Epstein files regarding a bank deposit and a suspicious Google search connected to prison guard Tova Noel, the prison guard who was on duty the night the infamous Jeffrey Epstein died in federal lockup, the House Oversight Committee is compelling Noel’s testimony so that it can question her on what was going on.

As background, as The American Tribune recently reported: “Chase Bank flagged several cash deposits in Noel’s bank account in a ‘suspicious activity report’ to the FBI in November 2019. A series of 12 deposits, starting in April 2018, eventually culminated in a large deposit of $5,000 on July 30, 2019. Epstein’s body was found on August 19, 2019.”

Yet further, FBI records revealed that Noel did an online search for “latest on Epstein in jail,” twice, just several minutes before correctional officer Michael Thomas found Epstein. Noel has claimed that she did not search for Epstein and that the FBI’s records are incorrect. She also allegedly took a nap shorly before he was found dead.

So, with all those suspicious details in mind, the House Oversight Committee, headed by Chairman James Comer, is investigating the situation and has compelled her testimony. Such is what it announced on X, saying, “Guard on duty when Jeffrey Epstein died to testify before House Oversight. Chairman @RepJamesComer is bringing in Tova Noel, one of the Metropolitan Correctional Center prison guards on duty when Jeffrey Epstein died, for a transcribed interview on March 26, 2026.”

Revealed as well in that post on X was a letter in which the House Oversight Committee began by writing, “The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (Committee) is reviewing: (i) the alleged mismanagement of the federal government’s investigation into Mr. Jeffrey Epstein and Ms. Ghislaine Maxwell, (ii) the circumstances and subsequent investigations of Mr. Epstein’s death, (iii) the operation of sex-trafficking rings and ways for the federal government to effectively combat them, (iv) ways in which Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell sought to curry favor and exercise influence to protect their illegal activities, and (V) potential violations of ethics rules related to elected officials.”

Continuing, the committee noted that, whatever was going on with her suspicious bank deposits and Google searches, she had information that will assist the investigation. It wrote, “Due to public reporting, documents released by the Department of Justice, and documents obtained by the Committee, the Committee believes you have information that will assist in its investigation.”

Yet further, it described the time and date of the testimony on the matter that it is requesting out of Noel, providing, “Accordingly, we request your testimony at an in-person transcribed interview on March 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. ET in Washington, D.C.”

Concluding by establishing its legal authority to demand and compel such testimony, it said, “The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is the principal oversight committee of the U.S. House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate ‘any matter’ at ‘any time’ under House Rule X. To schedule your appearance for the interview or ask related questions, please contact Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Majority staff at (202) 225-5074.”
