Though much of Hollywood is known for its vociferously anti-gun stance, not everyone in the woke town and woker industry is anti-2nd Amendment and willing to spit on the right that many Americans both cherish and see as integral to the American experience and American way of life.
For example, one actor who is a leftist on most issues but is proudly pro-gun is Brad Pitt, known as of late for his jaw-droppingly good performance in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” Pitt, proudly making his views on the matter known, has informed the public that he’s owned guns since kindergarten.
Kurt Russell is another gun proponent who took a woke journalist to task in an interview which is an oldie-but-goodie. Obviously designed to make Russell look like a troglodyte, the interview turned into Russell schooling the woke journalist on gun control and gun rights.
That portion of the interview began with journalist Jeffrey Wells ridiculously ignoring the views and experiences of average Americans and saying that guns are something “disenfranchised white guys need” because gun ownership “makes them feel good about themselves.”
Russell vociferously pushed back and lit the buffoon up, saying “If you think gun control is going to change the terrorists’ point of view, I think you’re, like, out of your mind. I think anybody [who says that] is. I think it’s absolutely insane.”
And he didn’t stop there. Russel went on to destroy Wells with a master class lesson on the stupidity of gun control measures. “The problem, the problem that we’re having right now to turn it around…you may think you’ve got me worried about what you’re gonna do? Dude, you’re about to find out what I’m gonna do, and that’s gonna worry you a lot more,” he said.
Continuing, Russell added, “And that‘s what we need. That will change the concept of gun culture, as you call it, to something [like] reality. Which is, if I’m a hockey team and I’ve got some guy bearing down on me as a goaltender, I’m not concerned about what he’s gonna do — I’m gonna make him concerned about what I’m gonna do to stop him. That’s when things change.”
Nonetheless, Wells couldn’t stop digging. Instead, he tried to make his foolish point yet again, saying, “Obama’s point was that the guys on the no-fly list, [there] for good reason because of terrorist connections or suspicions…they can get hold of a gun pretty easily.”
Russel just continued slamming this ignorant Regime mouthpiece into the ground, saying, “They can also make a bomb pretty easily. So what? They can also get knives and stab you. [What are you] gonna do about that? They can also get cars and run you over. [What are you] gonna do about that?”
When Wells tried pivoting to the tired argument that some terrorists rely on guns, citing the fact that the 2015 San Bernandino terrorists didn’t run people over to kill them but rather used guns, Russell immediately reponded, saying, “But they’ve killed others that way, haven’t they? Yeah, yeah. Whaddaya gonna do? Outlaw everything? That isn’t the answer.”
