Actor Mark Wahlberg, who recently announced he was uprooting his family from the desolate area of Los Angeles for the freer state of Nevada, was hilariously roasted by his teenage daughter after she joking imitated him on her own Instagram account.
In the video, the 13-year-old daughter Grace dons a bunch of gear from her dad’s clothing line Municipal Sport Utility Gear, and embraces the family’s acting chops.
“Municipal from head to toe,” the teen says, pretending to be in an ad for the merch line co-founded by her 51-year-old father.
“The new municipal shoes, shorts. Municipal and 45, the sweatshirt, the hat,” she says. From there, she goes into total dad mode, pretending to juice up on supplements. “Performance-inspired. Inspired to be better. Stay prayed up. Make your protein shakes.”
After getting a laugh at his expense for the clothing and protein shakes bit, she then pretends she is following his strict regimen of prompt sleeping and waking schedules. Looking at her watch, she says, “What time is it? Oh, 8 a.m. Got to go to bed.”
The bit was referencing an earlier video shared by the elder Wahlberg that revealed the shredded actor is accustomed to waking up around 3:00 am to get a pre-day workout in.
Of course, the younger girl can mock the routine all she wants, but one day when she has kids and a job of her own, she’s going to quickly learn that you don’t own your own time anymore. Simply put, you need to add hours to your day to get things done.
Nevertheless, she does a good job with the teenage swagger and snark and pulls of a pretty good impression. Take a look for yourself at the spoof yourself:

By all appearances, it would seem that the “Father Stu” actor and his teenage daughter have a pretty good relationship. A little friendly ribbing would suggest that his decision to leave the deranged community of Hollywood to give her as normal a childhood as possible was the right decision.
Previously, Wahlberg had stated that he was moving his family to Nevada to give his “kids a better life.” He also wanted to expand production on the aforementioned Municipal line he was developing, and he even stated his intentions to build what is being dubbed Hollywood 2.0.
“That is the biggest challenge, every free moment that I have, I’m at home,” the actor said. “I moved to Nevada where after this gubernatorial election, hopefully it will go to legislation and get a bill passed so we can get a tax credit for the state and build a state-of-the-art studio here and make this Hollywood 2.0.
“I want to be able to work from home,” he continued. “I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there. So, to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us.”
“To go and to hopefully build a studio as well as a shoe factory and a factory for Municipal. So, we came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s lot of opportunity here.”
“I’m really excited about the future,” he finished.
Here was Wahlberg talking to CBS about those plans:
