Conservatives slammed failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for libel after she took to, formerly, Twitter to attack Trump for supposedly urging supporters to attack the Capitol on January 6, 2021, injuring over 140 officers, then pardoning the rioters.
However, clips from the time show Trump calling for peaceful protest. Additionally, footage from Nancy Pelosi shows the Democrats denying his request to call in the National Guard and admitting responsibility for the security failure.
In her wild recent comments, Clinton alleged, “Five years ago today, Donald Trump urged his supporters to attack Congress and the Capitol over a proven lie. More than 140 police officers were injured. Trump then pardoned the attackers. He betrayed his oath and his country, and we won’t ever forget it.” Similarly, another irritated conservative wrote, “Hillary turns off replies to avoid hearing how much people disagree with her. She only comes to X to gloat at the commoners. We don’t hate @HillaryClinton enough.”
However, even though the unpopular Democrat turned off the comments, conservatives used the quote tweet feature to dunk on her. “Five years ago, Trump said ‘peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.’ Capitol Police then shot tear gas at the crowd on one side, while openly inviting people into the Capitol on the other,” one empashioned reply stated, “Your lies no longer work. You enabled a r*pist just so you could keep power.”
Similarly irritated, another retorted, “This is untrue. Trump did not ‘urge his supporters to attack Congress.’ You can criticize Trump’s behavior on January 6th, you can even hold him morally responsible for what happened, without telling lies about the events of that day.”
“Don’t you f**king dare lecture us. You’ve been harboring and protecting sexual predator /deviant from the Epstein era. Your husband and former president, a man who literally assaulted a woman …in the oval office,” an angry conservative retorted.
Blasting Clinton, another enraged conservative fired off an impassioned response, saying, “You can show all the rag headlines you want. You can shut down replies on your idiotic and lie perpetuating posts. You can’t stop the truth from coming out. MAGA!”

Even liberals attacked Clinton. A reply stated, “Trump absolutely did NOT ‘urge his supporters to attack Congress.’ The BBC had a major scandal because they did a documentary falsely/maliciously claiming that is what he did. We can abhor what happened on J6 & still not blatantly lie about what did and did not happen that day.”
For context, at the time of the riot, Trump declared, “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard,” completely refuting Clinton’s wild allegations.
In another clip recently revealed from the same day, a clip of Nancy Pelosi noted, “We have responsibility… we did not have any accountability for what was going on there. And we should have… Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?” Adding to this point, she asserted, “I take responsibility for not having them [the National Guard] just prepare for war.”
