Jonathan Turley, a prominent lawyer and Fox News contributor, recently sat down with the network and discussed the ongoing scandal surrounding the Biden family’s alleged corrupt business dealings. Turley called out a high-ranking Democrat who he claimed “tripped the wire” on the whole controversy.
Turley was referring to New York Rep. Dan Goldman, who recently said that Hunter Biden would often put then-Vice President Joe Biden on speakerphone during discussions with business partners. However, Goldman claimed the conversations were only “about the weather.”
When asked about the speakerphone conversations, Goldman downplayed them and suggested that they had nothing to do with business dealings. “It was clear that, that it was part of the daily conversations that Hunter Biden had with his father,” the representative said.

“And it was and sounds like most of the time, now President Biden didn’t even know who the people he was at dinner. He was just asked to say hello and he would, you know, talk about the way he described it several times they asked over and over and over, he described what the weather was how, how what’s going on on your end, He, the witness was very, very consistent. that none of those conversations, ever had to do with any business dealings, or transactions, they were purely what he called casual conversation,” Goldman concluded.
According to Turley, Goldman’s comment raised eyebrows and “tripped the wire.” The attorney slammed people who refused to acknowledge the evidence against Biden, which he said has become “increasingly damning.”
“It’s really amazing to watch the extent in which people like Representative Goldman will just refuse to recognize any evidence. You could have a picture of President Biden actually burying mountains of gold and they would say that he was simply doing gardening. So you know, we have to get beyond that and just keep our eye on what the evidence is, and the evidence is increasingly damning,” Turley said.
Turley further claimed that Goldman ruined President Biden’s defense through trying to question the whistleblowers. He insinuated that getting the whistleblowers to actually admit that Biden was on phone calls with Hunter regarding business dealings does not help the case against him.
“Goldman himself tripped the wire when he tried to question whistleblowers in the last hearing and he ended up demolishing the president’s defense. Goldman got the whistleblowers to say ‘yeah, the president did speak to his son about his business dealings’… we have numerous witnesses and events where then Vice President Biden and now President Biden was involved. And you have witnesses, like Tony Bobulinski who said he sat down to discuss deals with Joe Biden,” Turley said.
The attorney claimed we are “getting past the point of deniability,” given the evidence that has surfaced pertaining to the Biden family’s business dealings. Turley contended that if the evidence is true, it would show influence peddling from Biden. He suggested that even if the money had gone through Hunter Biden, Joe’s influence still could have played a role in the dealings.
Turley further discussed allegations of a complex web of financial accounts that have hidden money from these business dealings. He stated that if President Biden has lied about having knowledge about this, it draws serious questions as to why.
