In huge news for those Republicans and MAGA voters who hope to see President Donald Trump and his administration fight back against woke activism from the judiciary and the leftists it supports, freshman congressman Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) has introduced articles of impeachment against US District Court Judge James Boasberg.
As background, Judge Boasberg has faced calls for impeachment since he tried to halt the Trump Administration’s deportation of illegal immigrant gangsters with violent criminal gangs like MS-13 and Tren de Aragua under the President John Adams era Alien Enemies Act. President Trump, in particular, called for the judge to face serious consequences, such as impeachment.
Doing so in a post on Truth Social, President Trump called the judge a radical, accused him of trying to usurp the executive’s powers, and called for his impeachment. Doing so, President Trump said, “This Radical Left Lunatic of a Judge, a troublemaker and agitator who was sadly appointed by Barack Hussein Obama, was not elected President – He didn’t WIN the popular VOTE (by a lot!), he didn’t WIN ALL SEVEN SWING STATES, he didn’t WIN 2,750 to 525 Counties, HE DIDN’T WIN ANYTHING! I WON FOR MANY REASONS, IN AN OVERWHELMING MANDATE, BUT FIGHTING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MAY HAVE BEEN THE NUMBER ONE REASON FOR THIS HISTORIC VICTORY. I’m just doing what the VOTERS wanted me to do. This judge, like many of the Crooked Judges’ I am forced to appear before, should be IMPEACHED!!! WE DON’T WANT VICIOUS, VIOLENT, AND DEMENTED CRIMINALS, MANY OF THEM DERANGED MURDERERS, IN OUR COUNTRY. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
Rep. Brandon Gill, a freshman congressman from Texas who has already attained notoriety for calling for the arrest and deportation of Rep. Ilhan Omar, then followed through on that and introduced articles of impeachment against the woke judge. Announcing the move on X (formerly Twitter), Rep. Gill said, “
I just introduced Articles of Impeachment against radical activist Judge James Boasberg. He is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors and should be removed from office.”
Beginning, the impeachment document said, “Resolved, That James E. Boasberg, Chief Judge, United States Court for the District of Columbia, is impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors, and that the following article of impeachment be exhibited to the United States Senate. Article of impeachment exhibited by the House of Representatives of the United States of America in the name of itself and of the people of the United States of America, against James E. Boasberg, Chief Judge, United States District Court for the District of Columbia, in maintenance and support of its impeachment against him for high crimes and misdemeanors.”
Continuing, the impeachment document provided details on the judge’s alleged crimes, saying, “Chief Judge Boasberg, in violation of his oath of office, did knowingly and willfully use his judicial position to advance political gain while interfering with the President’s constitutional prerogatives and enforcement of the rule of law. The Constitution provides that the House of Representatives “shall have the sole Power of Impeachment” and that “civil Officers of the United States,” including Federal Judges, are subject to impeachment and removal.”
It then added that the judge appears to be attempting to usurp the powers of the executive branch with his ruling. That part said, “Further, the separation of powers under the Constitution grants the President broad authority over the executive branch, including authority to protect the nation, as part of his role in ensuring the administration of laws, including the Alien Enemies Act, and policies of the United States.

The impeachment document went on to note that the Supreme Court found, in 1948, that the Alien Enemies Act and its enforcement are the exclusive purview of the president. Describing the consequences of the judge’s decision to violate that SCOTUS ruling, the impeachment document provided, “Through his conduct, in which he violated his oath to the Constitution and duty of impartiality to the people of the United States, Chief Judge Boasberg has abused the powers of his judicial authority, having engaged in actions that prioritize political gain over the duty of impartiality owed to the public and litigants.”
Then, after describing how the judge’s ruling aided terrorist organization Tren de Aragua, the impeachment document concluded by providing, “This conduct jeopardizes the safety of the nation, represents an abuse of judicial power, and is detrimental to the orderly functioning of the judiciary. Using the powers of his office, Chief Judge Boasberg has attempted to seize power from the Executive Branch and interfere with the will of the American people. In so doing, Chief Judge Boasberg used the powers of his position to engage in actions that overstep his judicial authority. By making a political decision outside the scope of his judicial duties, he compromised the impartiality of our judicial system and created a constitutional crisis. Wherefore, Chief Judge Boasberg is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors and should be removed from office.”
