Tammy Nobles lost her 20-year-old daughter Kayla Hamilton in 2022. Kayla, an autistic woman, did not die of natural causes. Instead, she was reportedly strangled to death by an illegal immigrant affiliated with the gang MS-13 last year.
Nobles just tore into President Joe Biden and his stance on border security and illegal immigration during an appearance on “Fox & Friends First,” raking him over the coals by sharing her heart-wrenching message.
Speaking to FNC’s Ashley Strohmier on Tuesday, Nobles said, “If there was a more secured border and individuals coming here was properly vetted, my daughter would still be alive today. They let her down.”
Continuing, she said that she thinks immigrants should have to be properly vetted to be in the United States, telling Strohmier, “I want them to be properly vetted. They need to be able to check their background, not for crimes in this country, but also crimes in their country and where they came from.”
Then, when asked if she ever thought that such a tragedy would strike her family, she said, “Not in a million years. I never thought I would lose my daughter at 20 years old.”
Fox News Digital, reporting on the death of Kayla Hamilton and why that murder was pinned to an illegal immigrant i nMS-13, said:
Officials said U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed the suspect, a 17-year-old El Salvador native, was listed as a member of Mara Salvatrucha, known as MS-13.
Authorities were able to nab the suspect back in January after comparing his DNA to evidence from the crime scene. He was charged with first-degree murder, as well as rape and robbery, and is currently being held without bail.
As the border crisis has escalated, the number of illegals with known ties to terrorist organizations crossing has increased as well, as the House Oversight Committee noted recently, writing:
“According to DHS data, the number of aliens with derogatory information in the TSDB has risen rapidly in recent years. So far in Fiscal Year 2023, U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) has already encountered 96 individuals with derogatory information in the TSDB, in addition to the 98 individuals encountered in Fiscal Year 2022, and 15 encountered in Fiscal Year 2021. These figures compare to only three such aliens apprehended in Fiscal Year 2020, 0 in Fiscal Year 2019, 6 in Fiscal Year 2018, and 2 in Fiscal Year 2017. At the same time, over 1.5 million illegal alien ‘gotaways’ have successfully crossed the border undetected during the Biden-Harris Administration. These ‘known gotaways’ do not provide biometric or biographic information to USBP agents and continue their journey into the interior of the country without background checks against law enforcement databases. Terrorists and other bad actors will attempt to exploit weaknesses in border security and vetting procedures to infiltrate the United States. We fear these known gotaways could also include illegal aliens with terrorist ties.”
“DHS has previously indicated in congressional correspondence that illegal aliens ‘with terrorism related records who are encountered at the border, after entering the country without inspection, are detained and removed.’ However, public facing information on a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) website now states that ‘[Terrorist Screening Data Set] watchlisted individuals encountered by [USBP] after entering the country without inspection may be detained and removed, to the extent possible under CBP policy, or turned over to another government agency for subsequent detention or law enforcement action, as appropriate’. It is unclear the extent to which actual legal impediments exist to prevent detention and removal of aliens with terrorist ties, as opposed to impediments imposed by the Biden Administration’s misguided policies,”
