A California school district is catching a lot of heat, from both the left and the right, after it was revealed they meted out punishment to a child with special needs for addressing her teacher with the wrong pronouns.
The brave student brought much-needed awareness to her situation after she courageously spoke at a recent school board meeting. This is heartbreaking and tough to watch.
“I got in trouble one time for calling this girl Kenny, a girl. I said, well, she, Kenny and, I used to word she when I was using my assignment could were working together,” the young woman opens, indicating her first encounter with so-called “misgendering.”
Then she discusses the situation in the locker room, suggesting there are biological males undressing in front of her and others.
“I was also in the girls’ locker room. I don’t like to dress out at all and that’s not okay. Um, well I got in trouble for it because I did not dress out in front of other people. I didn’t dress out for many reasons. One, there’s male teachers inside the girls’ locker room. Talking to my Miss Lewis they go to the same tey girl locker room and then there’s Ms. Lewis’s office. Ms Lewis has her door open and then their male teachers in her office. I never wanted to see that,” she said.
The girl would go on to say she “was scared” and “terrified” of having to undress in the girls’ locker room and stopped doing it altogether. However, she saved the most horrifying example until the end.
“And then it was another issue,” the student says. “I am in the special ed classes and I have one on one is my one on one ended was Cameron. But I called him Cam. I guess I was mistaken or corrected by calling Cameron Ms. Cam. My parents had always taught me that adult male is mister and their last name or the first name. Female is miss or missus if they’re married and have their first name or their last name.”
“With Cameron, I called him. I called him Miss Cameron because I saw the breast. I’m not saying that I can do…I saw breasts. I called him Miss Cameron. And many times more than one time I have been ignored by my own teachers. Because I call them by the wrong pronoun,” she continued, before adding that this teacher would ignore her as a presumable result of being addressed with their wrong pronouns.
This is heartbreaking and infuriating. This poor girl with special needs got in trouble at school for addressing her narcissist teacher by the wrong pronouns.
Not only that, she doesn't dress out for PE because male staff are always in the teachers office in the girl’s locker… pic.twitter.com/0YqC1JrMlq

“This is heartbreaking and infuriating. This poor girl with special needs got in trouble at school for addressing her narcissist teacher by the wrong pronouns,” the Twitter account that posted the video stated.
“Not only that, she doesn’t dress out for PE because male staff are always in the teachers office in the girl’s locker room. When she asked why she was harassed for it. Our @GAG_California chapter will be at their next school board meeting on May 16th. We’re going to rain hell upon them for what they’ve done to her. You’ve been warned @GlendaleUSD,” it ended.
“That was honestly heartbreaking and so hard to listen too. That poor girl, she is so brave to stand up for herself, and I’m glad she isn’t going to be alone. Best of luck champs!” one commenter said.
“What an amazing and courageous young woman. Her parents have taught her respect for her peers and for those in positions of authority. I love the power inside her allowed her to stand and speak for herself. Shame on you @GlendaleUSD, be better,” said another.
Amazingly, the left finds itself in a bind on this one because of the girl’s disability. Special education is not a force to be taken lightly, so educators now have the predicament of either supporting her – and by extension federal law – or siding with the LGBT lobby.
Given the power structures and place on the totem of victimhood, it isn’t hard to guess which side will win out.
