Has-Been Country Star Faces Fire for Unleashing Anti-ICE Song

Washed-up country singer Zach Bryan has released a new song, “Bad News,” which criticized Trump’s immigration policies and ICE for aggressive enforcement, alleging they scare children and contribute to America’s decline.

For context, Lyrics include, “ICE is gonna come, bust down your door,” and call police “cocky motherf**ckers,” provoking widespread condemnation from conservatives and country music fans alike, aghast by his comments.

In any case, the lyrics of his song provoked a massive meltdown. “And ICE is gonna come, bust down your door / Try to build a house no one builds no more / But I got a telephone / Kids are all scared and all alone,” Bryan sang.

Wrapping up, the offensive song continued, “The Boss stopped bumping, the rock stopped rolling / The middle fingers rising and it won’t stop showing / I got some bad news / The fading of the red, white and blue.”

Angry at this political statement, many users took to social media to blast the entitled singer. One commentator noted, “Zach Bryan never made any real music anyone cared about. All I ever heard about him was something about an NDA and being an abuser. His music is trash and he isn’t country. Dixie Chick’d and Bud Lighted his way out.”

Remembering past controversies, another woman explained that Bryan was no stranger to wild political comments. “No stranger to political statements, In 2023, he got into an online disagreement with country superstar Travis Tritt over transgender rights, with Bryan writing, “insulting transgender people is completely wrong because we live in a country where we can all just be who we want to be,” a comment explained.

Others, such as Benny Johnson, contrasted his past performance with the fallout of this shot-stirring song. “He just drew over 112,000 fans to what became the largest concert in U.S. history last week. Now, that will never happen again. When will they learn?” Johnson asked

Echoing these comments, Rogan O’Handley, a conservative commentator better known as DC Draino, said, “We were just invaded by over 10 million illegal aliens, and who does Zach Bryan cheer for? The illegals. I smell a boycott brewing.”

Reacting to the scandal, Tricia McLaughlin, the DHS Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs, rejected his allegations, noting, “We have higher ICE detention facility standards than most prisons holding US citizens.” Similarly, she invited Bryan to “Stick to ‘Pink Skies.”

Similalry angered, Conservative Country Star John Rich expressed his rage in a tweet which read, “Zach Bryan has every right to record a song bashing law enforcement, and fans have every right to keep supporting his career, or not. Capitalism isn’t cancellation. Who knows, maybe there’s a large “anti law enforcement” wing of the country music fanbase. We’ll soon find out.”

In a mocking tone, one commentator joked, “Hey, Rich, you never know. There was an audience for Brokeback Mountain now look where we’re at. Now this generation can’t even walk past a metal detector or an MRI machine without adverse reactions. Zach, Bryan can always move to Portland and join a commune.”
