Infamous woke actress Jane Fonda went on an absurd rant in defence of a recently arrested journalist, Don Lemon. In her comments, the irritating activist claimed, “They arrested the wrong Don,” and claimed that he was defamed.
This is the same Jane Fonda who travelled to North Vietnam during the Vietnam War, and infamously posed with a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft artillery unit in the North Vietnamese capital of Hanoi, an incident that many at the time and since argued was treason, and which earned her the nickname “Hanoi Jane”/
For context, former CNN host Don Lemon was arrested by federal agents with HSI and the FBI after a grand jury indicted him for charges related to an anti-ICE protest that stormed Cities Church in Minnesota on January 18 and harassed parishioners. He and others stormed the service, falsely claiming the pastor was an ICE official.
“They arrested the wrong Don. Don Lemon is a professional journalist. He and his producer were doing their job, nothing more, nothing less, and they’ll make up all kinds of defamatory things to say about him,” the irritating actress claimed.
Still not done, she slandered the president, saying, “That’s what they’re doing. This is how autocrats act. We can’t fall for it. We have to speak up when a red line is crossed like this, we cannot be silent,” to an assembled crowd.
Reacting to the actress’s absurd comments, one post read, “Jane Fonda showed during the Vietnam War how much she loved Communism, and now once again she is showing it, defending Don Lemon’s disrupting church services. We don’t believe you anymore, Hanoi Jane!”

Joining in with a funny and sarcastic comment about Lemon’s arrest and the not so worrisome precedent set by it, one user joked, “First they came for the Don Lemon And I did not speak out Because Don Lemon sucks. And then they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because this is what I voted for.”
Firing back at hysterical media coverage, conservative actor James Woods stated, “Your staff cheered when Charlie Kirk was pronounced dead of an assassin’s bullet. No one buys that you’re any more of a “journalist” than Don Lemon is. Stick with licking celebrity ***. That’s your wheelhouse.”
Another sardonic response read, “I am grateful to Don Lemon. In 2020, my mom listened religiously to CNN, buying into their unhinged covid fear mongering. After the GBD, she heard Don call me names on TV, decided CNN was fake news, and turned it off forever. It made her life so much better ever since.”
As we reported at the American Tribune, Lemon freaked out about the arrest. “Last night, the DOJ sent a team of federal agents to arrest me in the middle of the night for something that I had been doing for the last 30 years, and that is covering the news,” he whined.
Doubling down, the former CNN anchor alleged, “The First Amendment of the Constitution protects that work for me and for countless other journalists who do what I do, I stand with all of them and I will not be silenced. I look forward to my day in court.”
