“Hanoi Jane” Fonda Melts Down, Rages Over Democrat Leaders Like Schumer Losing to Trump [WATCH]

Appearing on CNN, infamous Vietnam War-era actress Jane Fonda freaked out over how Democrats in Congress, such as Senate Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) appear to be losing badly to President Donald Trump in this fight over the federal government shutting down and in the general battle over his administration, arguing that they’re doing a very poor job fighting him.

As background, Fonda has been infamous ever since she travelled to North Vietnam during the Vietnam War, and even chatted with the anti-aircraft artillery crews who fired upon American pilots. Many conservatives, both then and now, saw what she did as treason for which she should have been punished, yet it never was, and so Fonda remains a prominent leftist.

In any case, Fonda appeared on CNN to highlight the fact that she is relaunching a radical organization called the Committee for the First Amendment, one that was originally founded during the Cold War to help out communists who were caught being communists in Hollywood and blacklisted for it. Her father was one of the original members.

Commenting on the Trump Administration and its plans during the appearance, Fonda snapped, “No president has ever sent troops into the Democratic cities across the country saying full force. No president, as far as I know, has tried to control the Federal Reserve, the central bank. He is amassing power in a way that will destroy our democracy.”

Continuing, Fonda insisted that “creatives” in Hollywood would somehow be able to stand up to the might of the federal government and defeat its plans while having fun, insisting, “And so we‘re going to stand up. We‘re creatives. We‘re storytellers. We can do it creatively. We can have a good time while we do it.”

Fonda further noted, commenting on how the organization will fight Trump, “We want to push back and we want to make a model of what creative non-violent, non-cooperation looks like.” She also said, “That doesn’t mean just showing up for people who are under attack like Jimmy Kimmel. We want to be proactive and we want show what that can look like and violence will not be tolerated. We don’t want any of that, but we want we want move forward with love with unity, with solidarity.”

She continued, commenting on her efforts to shift the culture in America on the matter of the climate as well. Connecting the climate PAC to the First Amendment committee, she said, “We‘re going to have a good group, and we‘re going to have fun doing it. But I also have a PAC, a climate PAC that elects people all over the country.”

Adding to that, Fonda insisted that the Democrats are doing poorly in their efforts to resist President Trump and his administration, telling CNN host Dana Bash, “Because I don‘t feel that our leaders are doing what they need to do. And if you can‘t change the people, change the people. That‘s what we‘re doing.” That came after Bash asked how the Democrats are doing in their efforts to fight Trump, and Fonda snapped, “Not good enough!”
