Recently, the GOP announced it would be holding the first impeachment hearing of President Joe Biden.  Chairman on the House Oversight Committee, Rep. James Comer, made the announcement on Monday via X (formerly known as Twitter).  The committee will host the hearing this week on Thursday.

“On Thursday, @GOPoversight will hold an impeachment inquiry hearing. We will present evidence uncovered to date and hear from legal and financial experts about crimes the Bidens may have committed as they brought in millions at the expense of U.S. interests.”

The impeachment hearing titled “The Basis for an Impeachment Inquiry of President Joseph R. Biden Jr.” is set to examine evidence regarding Biden’s alleged involvement in his family’s business practices.  Those familiar with the matter have brought damning allegations toward the president’s role in Hunter Biden’s international business dealings.

Rep. Comer alleges that the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability have discovered “overwhelming” evidence against President Biden suggesting he used his position in American politics to his family’s advantage in financial interests.  The House Oversight Committee chairman draws on supposed communications and IRS whistleblower testimony proving these accusations.

According to a statement from Chairman Comer, “Since January, House Committees on Oversight and Accountability, Judiciary, and Ways and Means have uncovered an overwhelming amount of evidence showing President Joe Biden abused his public office for his family’s financial gain. Thousands of pages of financial records, emails, texts, testimony from credible IRS whistleblowers, and a transcribed interview with
Biden family business associate Devon Archer all reveal that Joe Biden allowed his family to sell
him as “the brand’ around the world to enrich the Biden family. Joe Biden showed up on at least
two dozen occasions to send signals of access, influence, and power to those who were paying
    the Bidens.”

Comer further states how our publicly elected leaders must be held accountable in the face of corrupt activities and abuse of power.  The committee will present the evidence in the hearing while consulting the opinions of pertinent experts on the matter.

“Based on the evidence, Congress has a duty to open an impeachment inquiry into President
Biden’s corruption. Americans demand and deserve answers, transparency, and accountability for
this abuse of public office. This week, the House Oversight Committee will present evidence
uncovered to date and hear from legal and financial experts about crimes the Bides may have
committed as they brought in millions at the expense of U.S. interests,” Comer said.

The American Tribune reported earlier this month on statements from Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, who commanded President Biden to “fully comply” when it was announced that an impeachment inquiry had been begun.  “I would encourage the president and his team to fully cooperate with this investigation in the interest of transparency. We are committed to getting the answers for the American public, nothing more, nothing less,” McCarthy stated.  McCarthy corroborated Rep. Comer’s claims that the GOP is sitting on a mountain of evidence against the president, implicating Biden in his family’s business activities.
