Former Fox News host Glenn Beck predicted on his show on Monday that the departure of Tucker Carlson would “kill” Fox News Channel.
Speaking on that, he said, “I think that’ll kill Fox, I really do. I know so many people that still kinda like Fox, they watch other shows, but they’re like, Tucker is the only one I really trust. You lose Tucker Carlson, I think that really kills them.” Continuing, he repeatedly expressed his surprise that FNC forced Tucker out, saying, “You’re getting rid of Tucker Carlson? Wow. Letting him walk out the door even? Wow.”

As you can hear in the video, Beck discussed his friendship with Tucker Carlson and offered Tucker a job, saying:
“Alright, I gotta give you some breaking news. Tucker Carlson is out at Fox News. Wow, Tucker Carlson, I have become friends and hopefully I’ll be able to talk to him today. I don’t know what the situation is. But Tucker, come to Jamaica. We would love to have you here you won’t miss a beat. And together, two of us will tear it up. Tear it up.”
Cutting in, his guest said, “That would be fascinating. And it would be I’m sure there’s there going to be quite a large contingency of people trying to get that done.”
That’s when Beck said that it would kill Fox News, saying, “I think that’ll kill Fox. I really do. I know so many people that you know, still kind of like Fox and they watch other shows, but they’re like, Tucker’s Tucker is the only one that I really trust. You lose Tucker Carlson. I think that really kills them.”
The guest agreed, saying, “Mr. Carlson’s last program was February April 21. The fact that you have the number one host in all of cable news, and he doesn’t even come back on to say, Hey, this is what’s going on. I mean, that no, goodbye show. No, none of that. Just he’s done. Fox News Tonight will air at 8pm. Eastern this evening on an interim as an interim host helmed by rotating Fox News personalities until a new host is named.”
Beck then attempted to get more people to subscribe to the Blaze, saying “Would you sign up for the blaze right now? So I we just have a bucket full of money we could throw his way.”
Continuing and telling people how they can do so, he added, “You’d go to Blaze tv.com Blaze tv.com/glenn You’ll save $20 If you use the promo code question everything. become a subscriber. I’ll tell you now more than ever. Where are you going to get the truth? Tucker was the only guy out there that I felt was in the mainstream media that was telling America the truth. Who’s doing that? There’s nobody in the mainstream media. Nobody. And I now include Fox to getting rid of Tucker Carlson while letting him walk out the door even Wow. A guy’s at the top have he had what three days with Elon Musk last week. You get to sit down with Elon Musk at this time with everything that’s going on between the starship and Twitter and you’re gone the next week. Never see anything like it.”
And while Fox News Channel is far from dead right now, it has seen a significant ratings hit following Tucker’s departure, as The Hollywood Reporter noted in its report on the drop in ratings Fox News Channel suffered, saying:
Unsurprisingly, Fox News ratings suffered Monday night without the channel’s most watched host.
After the surprise of Fox News and Tucker Carlson “agree[ing] to part ways” on Monday, the network’s 8 p.m. hour had a significantly smaller audience Monday night. The debut of Fox News Tonight, hosted by Brian Kilmeade (the first in a series of rotating hosts), pulled in just under 2.6 million viewers — about 21 percent below the average for Tucker Carlson Tonight (3.3 million viewers) over the past eight Mondays.
