As Americans look around them and get more and more tired of whatever it is that the Biden Administration is up to, particularly the pain they feel thanks to “Bidenomics” being, for many Americans, better called “Bidenflation,” the glory days of Trump are looking more and more appealing to them. In fact, people are now so fed up with Biden that Trump and Biden are tied in a head-to-head poll.
That result left ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos stunned, as normally Democrats poll a few points ahead of Republicans, even if the Republican wins, as happened in 2016. Fox Nation host Tammy Bruce hilariously mocked Stephanopoulos’ “stunned” reaction, telling him he ought get used to it.
Stephanopoulos’ shocked reaction came during a conversation on Sunday morning’s broadcast of ABC’s “This Week,” during which he and former DNC chair Donna Brazile discussed the poll and the other woes the Democrats are facing.
As you can hear in the video, Stephanopoulos began by expressing his surprise at the idea that Trump is doing so well despite the legal woes he is facing, saying, “It is kind of shocking in a way that despite all of the baggage that Donald Trump carries, he’s tied with Joe Biden right now.”
He then turned the floor over to former DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile. She said the poll results were dire enough to keep her awake at night, telling him, “Yeah. I mean, George, when I looked at that recent poll, The Wall Street Journal, I said, ‘Oh. This could keep me up at night.‘”
Well, Tammy Bruce used the comment Stephanopoulos made to mock him for being so out of touch with ordinary Americans, posting on X, “He wouldn’t have been “stunned” if he had taken seriously all the other polls indicating the intense unhappiness of Americans in general. Our decline is artificial and Biden’s doing. So get used to it, Georgie. “ABC’s George Stephanopoulos appeared stunned Sunday by a 2024 election poll showing former President Trump and President Biden tied at 46% in a hypothetical rematch, calling the findings “kind of shocking” in light of Trump’s mounting legal woes.”
The poll’s good news for Trump wasn’t confined to its polling about how he is doing against Biden. It also was good for him in that it showed the average GOP voter is not overly concerned about the indictments he is facing or January 6th.
According to it, more than 60 percent of Republican primary voters insisted that the criminal charges Trump faces stem from political motives and lack merit. Similarly, 78 percent said that what Trump was up to after the 2020 election was necessary, viewing his actions as legitimate attempts to ensure an accurate vote was recorded. Of those polled, just 16 percent said that Trump illegally attempted to prevent Congress from certifying the 2020 presidential election results.
So, as Trump is head-to-head with Biden, those who would be his main voters are generally unimpressed with the regime’s attacks on him, which is great news for the former. Watch the video here:
Former DNC chair @DonnaBrazile says the biggest challenge facing Democrats is that “young voters, young Black and Latino voters—they're not ready to come back to the party.”
“Without them, it is a tight race, and it's going to come down to four states.” https://t.co/lCmr9iLfeR pic.twitter.com/XQiDxlyxJf
