Former Hunter Biden business partner Tony Bobulinski has officially filed a defamation lawsuit against Jessica Tarlov, the left-leaning Fox News contributor who frequently clashes with Greg Gutfeld and Jessy Watters on “The Five.” The defamation action stems from remarks Tarlov made about Bobulinski’s motives, remarks that he claims damaged both his personal and professional reputation.
As background, Bobulinski had been testifying before Congress about Hunter Biden’s business activities and whether Joe Biden had been involved in those business activities. Tarlov, criticizing and casting doubt on Bobulinski’s testimony, argued that the timeline for the alleged involvement does not make sense and alleged that Bobulinski was testifying in the manner he was because his lawyers were on the payroll of a Trump Super PAC.
Those comments came as Tarlov and Judge Jeannine Pirro bickered about the testimony. “It does make sense because there is not the clear line that you guys have been alleging,” Tarlov said. Pirro hit back, “Yes there is. You just have to put the pieces together. Are you so simple that you cannot put together a circumstantial case where you take a piece from here, a piece from there, the money goes there, this is an eyewitness…”
Tarlov then stated, “Ok, Tony Bobulinski’s lawyers’ fees have been paid by a Trump Super PAC. That’s as recent as January. Do you think that a guy who’s invested in how much better off he wants the United States to be and really getting to the bottom of this would be taking money from the guy who extorted the Ukrainians to get dirt on the Bidens?”
Tarlov, having to correct her comments the next day, said, “I would like to clarify a comment I made yesterday during our discussion of Tony Bobulinki’s appearance at the congressional hearings. During an exchange with my colleagues about the hearing, I said that Mr. Bobulinski’s lawyer’s fees have been paid by Trump’s super PAC as recently as January.”
Continuing, she explained the error behind her misstatement about the legal fees, saying, “What was actually said during the hearing was that the law firm representing Mr. Bobulinski was paid by a Trump PAC. I’ve seen no indication those payments were made in connection with Mr. Bobulinski’s legal fees and he denies that they were.”

Bobulinski, however, has decided that the correction was not enough and is suing Tarlov over her comments. In a statement on why he filed it, he said, “Today I filed a lawsuit against Ms. Jessica Tarlov of Fox News for defamation. Although I am seeking compensatory, special, and punitive damages from her for the damage her public remarks inflicted on my personal and professional reputation, this is not about money. This is about the truth, for which I have been fighting for four years. It is important for media personalities like Ms. Tarlov to understand that lies have consequences.”
Continuing, he emphasized his commitment to the truth, saying, “I have consistently told the truth to the American people about the deep corruption of the Biden family and will continue to do, and I have paid my legal expenses arising from my decision to come forward out of my own pocket. I will donate every penny I may be awarded in this suit to a children’s hospital and to support our military Veterans. Ms. Tarlov refused to apologize and sincerely correct the record. I look forward to holding her accountable in a court of law and to continuing to bring the truth to the American people.”
