Speaking on Wednesday, June 24, Fox News Channel personality Sean Hannity gave an update on his health for viewers, addressing why he has a puffier face than many have come to expect from him and what is going on with his raspy voice. He blamed both on a pinched nerve.
Further, the Fox News Channel host shared that he was addressing the matter on social media so that those who have been speculating about it on X no longer have to worry. His announcement of what happened and what is going on with his health came in a post made on X on Wednesday, June 24.
Beginning, Hannity noted that he has addressed the matter not on the TV but on his radio show, and that the issue is that he pinched a nerve while working out. He said, “Thanks to everyone who has checked in. I’ve already addressed this several times on my radio show, but while training, I developed a painful pinched nerve in my neck.”
Continuing, he noted that he had been given some medicine to deal with the inflammation, and that the medication had brought about the puffiness and raspy voice that many of his viewers had noticed. “My doctor put me on prednisone to reduce the inflammation, and while it’s helping, it led to laryngitis and some puffiness, which is normal for this medication,” he said.
He added that, entertainingly, the obvious visual results of the medicine have generated more speculation and commentary online than he’s seen in three decades of his career, saying, “I’m fine, recovering well, and still training, but apparently a few weeks of prednisone has generated more social media commentary than 30 years of ratings success.”
Concluding, the Fox News host added that he appreciates all the health and well wishes he has gotten, saying, “I appreciate all the concern and well wishes—including from members of the left-wing media. Sorry to disappoint them, but a pinched nerve, a raspy voice, and a puffy face aren’t taking me out anytime soon.”
Watch Hannity look puffier and have a raspier voice than normal on the night of Tuesday, June 23, when he called out the Democratic Party for moving even more to the far left with Zohran Mamdani-backed candidates in New York City winning their elections:

“The so-called Democratic Socialist movement in this party is not a good thing. You’re looking at a group of people who are driven by envy, resentment — far-left activists who really don’t love the country, they want to fundamentally change it,” the FNC host said when he commented on that matter in the clip.
“They really don’t believe in hard work. They don’t believe in meritocracy. They detest the freedoms enshrined in our Bill of Rights. They want you to own nothing. They want you to live your life in service to the government,” the FNC host went on to add, commenting on the radical nature of what current-year Democrats are supporting.
