Fox News Host Gets Called Out for Ridiculous Attack on Trump

On “The Five,” former Democratic Rep. Harold Ford Jr. infuriated many by attacking President Trump’s economic policies in his second term, declaring the current plan “is not working so far” and bluntly stating “the plan that’s out there sucks.” Despite strong data, Ford insisted Americans still can’t afford basics like beef, bananas, insurance, or healthcare.

During the tiresome screed, he dismissed Republican efforts to blame Biden as “nonsensical,” highlighted Trump’s tariffs as price-hiking, and warned that if the “Big Beautiful Bill” fails to deliver relief soon, Republicans risk significant losses in the 2026 midterms.

Starting his diatribe, Ford went straight for the throat, saying, “I think we all have to take into account politics. The most urgent issue in politics is everyone’s economic and money issues. Unfortunately, most Americans don’t have the luxury of looking back where they were six months a year ago, a year and a half ago; this notion of complaining about President Biden is nonsensical.”

Continuing his unfair accusations, the Democrat kept ranting, bizarrely making a nonsensical comparison to the Founding Fathers. “Can you imagine Thomas Jefferson complaining about George Washington, he did all the time, or John Adams complaining about George Washington? The Revolutionary War lasted too long. If it hadn’t lasted so long, I would be way up in the polls,” he complained.

Still not done, he claimed, “We are at a moment right now, where, as Kennedy mentioned so well, the President has offered basically two enormous ideas to help reduce prices and help wages go up. One was the big, beautiful bill. The President, his Secretary of the Treasury, says that the fruits of that bill will really manifest themselves come next year.”

Asking a rhetorical question, the biased Fox News Host continued his screed. The former representative said, “Well, we just had an election. People talk about the fickleness of the electorate. What really that fickleness is, is people are saying, Are you delivering on what you said you were? You said you were going to deliver on?”

Attacking President Trump directly, he then said, “The President, instead of blaming Democrats, instead of blaming Biden, the admission that terrorists was to Kim this point, you said it so well, lowering the tariffs on food is an admission it increased the price of food if the big, beautiful bill does not drive up or does not drive growth in everyday people’s lives,” adding, “Come next year, this will be a very difficult election for President Trump, not because it’s President Trump, because that’s how American politics works.”

Adding to his previous comments, the anchor called back to recent off-year elections. “And if you don’t recognize that, all you have to do is look back at the only polls that matter, near elections. We had one two weeks ago, and Democrats clean the clock of Republicans all across the country a year earlier, Republicans and President Trump clean the clocks of Democrats,” Ford noted.

Finally concluding his comments, the Democrat alleged, “Democrats, if you don’t offer answers, you will find yourself in a tough spot next year as well, and President Trump, I just don’t believe that blaming Democrats and blaming Biden is going to be the answer or the path to victory.”
