In a baffling interview with Martha MacCallum, host of The Story with Martha MacCallum on Fox News, an infamous anti-Trumper and former Obama economic advisor, Robert Wolf, who was also involved with the Biden administration, slammed the Trump administration’s tariffs. As could be expected, both he and FNC were torched online for pushing an anti-Trump message on FNC.
Starting off his comments, he criticized Trump’s tariff policies on Fox News, calling them poorly executed, intellectually dishonest, and likely to trigger a recession, citing JP Morgan’s 60% odds. He argued that road tariffs act as taxes, hurting consumer-driven economies, unlike targeted ones. Host Martha MacCallum noted Congress’s inaction on the economy and agreed with him.
Starting off his biased screed, he whined, “Thoughts? Is this big, beautiful economy that actually was rolling pretty good with jobs and inflation coming down? Feels more like the Game of Thrones Red Wedding. I mean, it is not going well. This is being executed poorly. His economic advisors are being intellectually dishonest.”
Continuing his dishibnet framing, Robert Wolf whined, “Trade wars are bad. Tariffs are a tax. Consumer prices are not going down in countries where 70% are consumer-driven, so building a moat around the United States with protectionist and isolationist economic policies is not positive.”
Feigning bipartisan concern, the former official alleged, “And this isn’t me saying it. This is JP Morgan, 60% chance of a recession. The Heritage Foundation is for free trade and thinks tariffs are poor. I think Steve and I have always been for targeted tariffs.”
Still not done, Wolf whined, “Go after the Eurozone on auto, go after China on steel and intellectual property, but across the board, is just coming back to haunt us, and the markets are efficient. I disagree with Secretary of State, Rubio, it’s not just the businesses are getting reset.”
Concluding his comments before the Fox News host interrupted, the Obama appointee said, “They’re going to actually look at what happened at Whirlpool in Iowa. They cut over 500 jobs. By the way, today, the senator of Iowa and the senator of Washington are doing a bipartisan bill to possibly take away…”

Wrapping up the segment, MacCallum interupted, “They want to take control back, and Congress really has not been muscular on any of these issues, even though they had the power to be and probably should have been a long time ago.”
When the clip made its way to social media, conservatives were enraged, “FOX BRINGS ON THIS LOSER TO SAY NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT PRES TRUMPS ECONOMY A FORMER “OBAMA” ECONOMIC ADVISOR🤣😂🤣,” and an impassioned reply read.
Additionally, the same source emphatically added, “OBAMA SCAMMED ALL OF AMERICA ALONG WITH THIS LOSER ROBERT WOLF YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS S**T UP🤡🙏🤖🙏✝️.” Apparently Wolf has desided to define himself by Trump hatred.
