Constitutionalist Steve Ferguson came out swinging against Fox News in a post published on social media platform X, accusing the news network of choosing to side with the Democratic Party when it fired popular pro-Trump host Maria Bartiromo. Her firing was announced by Fox on September 3rd, 2026, when the outlet said it has “parted ways” with her.

At the time of the announcement, Fox provided no reasons or additional details to explain the reason Bartiromo was released from their roster. Later, the network claimed her firing was just a business decision. Bartiromo was a huge presence across both Fox News and Fox Business, hosting three programs: Mornings with Maria, Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street, and Sunday Morning Futures.

Bartiromo’s high-profile attorney, Bryan Freedman, claimed that the popular host was not fired, referring to such claims as “absolutely and unequivocally false.” He then added, that “Make no mistake, we have the receipts and witnesses,” and indicated that the evidence could emerge in court or through other means.

It was later reported that Bartiromo had been terminated due to violating company policy. According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, Bartiromo violated Fox News policy by passing along internal information concerning Fox’s coverage plans. Fox, however, has not confirmed that as the reason for her firing.

According to a previous report from The American Tribune, Bartiromo was facing allegations of sharing internal Fox communications concerning the network’s editorial handling of election-related claims made by President Donald Trump. Fox then announced the fate of the popular host’s programs, saying that Mornings with Maria would be renamed Mornings with FOX Business, while noting that her Wall Street program would be renamed, and Sunday Morning Futures would be given a new host.

“When Fox News fired Maria Bartiromo, they chose sides: The Democrat Party. And the Democrat Party’s ally and soulmate…..Red China. Am I being too harsh?” Ferguson said in his post. A lot of people in the comment section agreed with Ferguson’s criticism of Fox News and shared their own thoughts on Bartiromo getting the boot.

“For those in the back of the room, Fox News is ‘controlled opposition.’  Their favorite guests are RINOs. Nothing ever comes from the nonstop ‘hearings.’ Controlled opposition is there to placate MAGA generating the illusion that their agenda is embraced,” one user wrote. Another user said Ferguson was not being too harsh at all.

“No you are speaking absolute truth. Fox news took the choice of standing with the Dems and China in 2020. Fox news is owned and bought by China,” someone else commented. “I am shock that people still watch Fox News. I stopped watching them 5 years ago. I knew that the Owners were liberal,” another user said.

“No you got this right and let’s not forget the Murdochs who run Fox also control the WSJ? Keep that in mind! We need to keep things honest on X and try to save the USA from the frauds who kiss the a** of the CCP and who very likely accept money like the Bidens from Communists,” someone else noted.
