Over the weekend, former Pittsburgh Steelers standout players Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell helped register voters for former President Donald Trump in the critical battleground state of Pennsylvania. The two former professional football players were seen donning Make America Great Again hats while standing under a Turning Point USA tent to promote voter registration.
Conservatives on social media reacted with glee seeing the two star athletes working on behalf of the Trump-Vance campaign. “Something truly beautiful is happening in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania right now. Former Steelers Legends Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell are registering hundreds of new Trump voters. The culture is with Trump all the way this time,” conservative commentator George wrote on X, sharing footage of the Brown and Bell.
Others joined in commenting the same sentiment. “People who don’t live in the Pittsburgh area may not fully understand just how big this really is. Two of the three “Killer Bees” are registering Trump voters, AT THE STADIUM OUTSIDE OF A STEELERS GAME. That’s freakishly HUGE. Trump is crushing it. Absolutely CRUSHING IT!” one person wrote.
“There’s a significant political movement in Pittsburgh with sports icons like Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell actively supporting Trump by registering new voters, indicating a cultural shift towards Trump in this election cycle,” another person pointed out, highlighting the momentum Trump has in the critical swing state of Pennsylvania.
Others noted how the MAGA movement is not exclusive, but is open to all Americans, seeking to represent their interests. “It’s incredible that only when MAGA comes together as a group do you actually see the promise fulfilled in America. White MAGA, Black MAGA, Asian MAGA, Latino MAGA- everything MAGA- all you see is a group of people from different walks of life uniting under the love of country,” they wrote.
The American Tribune recently reported on great news for the GOP in Pennsylvania, where Republicans have seen a double-digit swing in mail-in ballot returns. Cliff Maloney, who leads a conservative activist group called Pennsylvania Chase, explained, “The PA Chase is working. How do I know that? Not only from anecdotal conversations and direct feedback at the door but let’s look at the numbers. If we compare 2020 at this time, compared to today for 2024, here are the specifics: Democrats are at 514,000 returns, Republicans are at 215,000 returns.”
He continued, “And, the reason I tell people you have to look at the context is, you compare that to returns in 2024 at this time, Republicans are up 90,000 ballots, and Democrats are down roughly 40,000 ballots. So, it’s an 11-point swing for Republicans.” Speaking about the importance of the data, he added, “Remember that Trump only lost Pennsylvania by 80,000 votes. Republicans are trending up 90,000, Democrats are down let’s say, 40,000 in a state that had a delta of 80,000. That’s why I’m very confident, but we’ve got to finish hard, we’ve got to go all in. We can not sit back on our heels, this is time to double down.”
