Famous motorcycle brand Harley Davidson has recently caught backlash after being exposed for embracing a woke corporate agenda. Over the years, tough and gritty motorcycle clubs have given the brand an edgy image that many claim created the appeal around Harley’s. However, the bikers of this generation who brought Harley Davidson to prominence now feel that the company has forgotten them.
James “Hollywood” Macecari is a former “one-percenter” outlaw biker who recently expressed disdain for the direction Harley Davison has gone. “Harley used the motorcycle clubs and used the loyalty of a lot of bikers for decades to build the brand,” he said. “The bikers stuck with Harley through the AMF (American Machine and Foundry) years in the 1970s when the bikes were junk and nobody else wanted them,” Macecari added.
The former biker continued, “C’mon. What brand gets tattooed all over people like Harley? You know? Harley got loyalty and billions in free advertising from the bikers.” Macecari illustrated how bikers propped up the brand for years, stating, “The relationship with bikers worked for Harley for decades.” However, he added, “Then all of a sudden, if I walked into a Harley-Davidson dealership with my patch, they snubbed their noses, even though I probably made more money than half the owners.”
The American Tribune recently reported on conservative activist Robby Starbuck, who exposed Harley Davidson’s woke agenda. “It’s time to expose Harley Davidson,” the activist said on X, noting that it was time to set his sights on the company. The political commentator addressed various leftist initiatives led by the CEO of Harley Davidson, such as critical race theory; diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); and the provision of transgender surgeries for children.”
Calling out the CEO, Starbuck added, “Jochen Zeitz is an unusual choice to lead Harley-Davidson. He’s German, he’s an outspoken climate activist. In Harley’s so-called sustainability report, they also say that their 1800 global employees completed a virtual training to learn what an ally is to the LGBTQ+ community, and that employees also participated in an engaging and interactive learning session that allowed them to explore social identities, both seen and unseen.”
Additionally, UFC champion Sean Strickland recently shared a video on social media in which he sounded off on Harley Davidson for going woke. Strickland claimed that he would be getting rid of his Harley Davidson to never own one again. The famous fighter suggested that if one were to own a Harley they wouldn’t love America.
“You guys, I don’t want to make this video. I love Harvey. I’ve owned Harley’s most my life, but I would never own a Harley again. If you love America, you won’t own a Harley. And let me explain to you guys why I’m so upset and why you should be upset,” Strickland said.
“The CEO of Harley is a woke zealot. This man wrote the book on wokeism. He wants to fundamentally change who you are, how you live and how you think and how you raise your family. This man started a organization called the B team, and his sole purpose is to fundamentally change how you think, and now you have to ask yourself,” he continued.
