WATCH: Former Coal Miner Slams Biden Over Anti-Fossil Fuel Agenda

A former West Virginia coal miner recently slammed the Biden administration for its stance on fossil fuels. Bo Copley, who famously called out Hillary Clinton regarding her position on fossil fuels during her failed 2016 presidential campaign, also pressed Joe Biden on his stance.

Copley claimed the Biden administration is determined to end the domestic coal industry while maintaining that, whether Americans realize it or not, the fossil fuel impacts them.  The former miner criticized the president for alienating his political opinions, claiming Biden doesn’t care about Copley’s voting demographic.

“Whether you’re actually in coal or not, you’re affected by it. And to have an administration that is bent on driving coal completely out of business, it just baffles me that we’re not part of the demographic that they’re trying to get as far as voters are concerned,” Copley said. “They could care less about us.”

Copley continued, explaining how he believes the incumbent presidency seeks to “divide” the nation over issues such as the coal industry.

“They want to play a narrative, and they want to divide the country. And they want to placate to the rest of the world, and they could care less about people like me,” the West Virginian said. “It troubles me that we have an administration that is so bent on driving us out of work.”

The coal industry advocate explained how the communities built around the commodity are far from what they once were financially, but they remain hopeful.  Copley illustrated how coal communities are God-fearing people who support their family and community.

“We get up, we go to work, we come home, and we take care of our communities. We’re there for the kids that need us. We’re there for the people that we love,” he said. “Communities like this, we may not thrive financially the way that we once did, but we put our faith in God, and we take care of each other.”

Drawing on his previous complaint that the Biden administration alienates Copley’s voting demographic, the West Virginian warned the president that it could play a decisive role in the upcoming election.

“He can fight with us and fight our communities all that he wants, but I think we all know his time in office, it’s going to be very short-lived. He’ll be replaced and, hopefully, it’ll be somebody who cares more about people like us.”

Copley confronted Hillary Clinton in 2016 with the fiery statement, “When you make comments like, ‘We’re going to put a lot of coal miners out of jobs,’ these are the kind of people that you’re affecting. This is my family.” Clinton responded to him, “I don’t know how to explain it other than what I said was totally out of context from what I meant.”

In the past, Biden has personally guaranteed that he will “end fossil fuels,” and his policies have certainly reflected this sentiment.  The Biden administration has taken action, such as ending the Keystone Pipeline, preventing mining around the country, and imposing various other legislation on the fossil fuel industry.  See footage below of Copley criticizing Biden.
