Businesses are continually devising new promotional schemes to drive sales. It isn’t unusual to get a percentage off or extra goods and services as a way to entice customers. There isn’t much extra money to go around in Joe Biden’s America, so a consumer has to look for the best deals and the most incentive to purchase goods and services.
This has made companies more creative with their giveaways and incentives. Whether it is a car, coupons at the grocery store, or even something as large and expensive as a house, folks are seeking all of the freebies they can get.
One Florida business has taken a unique and creative angle to reward customers, drum up business, and perhaps even help with Thanksgiving dinner. The owners of Roof EZ in Cape Coral, Florida, have devised a giveaway that will protect customer’s homes, feed them for Thanksgiving, and potentially protect their families for years to come.
Customers who purchase a new roof in November will get a Thanksgiving turkey and an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle. It certainly is a unique and controversial giveaway. It was so controversial, in fact, that Facebook removed the original post about the giveaway, prompting Roof EZ to post another.
Jason Polly, President of Roof EZ, said about the promotion: “The turkey will get you all sitting at the table so you can spend time together. The roof will protect your home, and the AR-15 will protect your family.”
The offer isn’t an original idea for Polly and Roof EZ. In fact, they have copied a company in Alabama that made a similar offer. He continued: “I actually saw this idea; a company actually did it in Alabama. I figured, hey, we’re in Florida. This is the most Florida thing you can do. Let’s do it.”
The trope of “Florida man” is wildly popular, and often for good reason. Florida provides some of the wildest stories on the internet in terms of people acting poorly or getting themselves in uniquely bad situations. However, Florida also is a “stand your ground” state, where free rifles might come in handy.
However, it isn’t as easy as getting a roof, a turkey, and a rifle. Customers must still go through the same steps as if they were purchasing the firearm. Shoot Center in Cape Coral is helping them facilitate the promotion, and Jason Polly said about the potential transactions: “You got to get a background check. You can’t have any felonies. Once you pass your background check, you can go pick it up in three days.”
If customers don’t want the firearm, they can opt for an additional $500 off of the price of the roof, which is what the rifle retails for. Polly, however, claims that getting a gun is a good way to get experience and learn about gun safety.
Polly also pointed out what is becoming more obvious daily in Joe Biden’s America. He concluded: “Everybody needs an AR-15. The world’s a crazy place right now, and they can get a roof and an AR-15 for protection on both ends, why not?”
It is certainly a unique giveaway and one that is sure to elicit liberal tears everywhere, but Florida is a red state, and Floridians love their guns, so it is sure to be a successful promotion.
