NOTE: this is an old story, but as the Epstein story picks up again thanks to Tucker and Ghislaine Maxwell, we thought you might like reading this too
Ricky Gervais might just be one of the last remaining good comedians. Whereas all the others, or at least almost all of the others, have either gone woke or become unfunny, he’s managed to remain his same, non-PC, utterly hilarious self.
And, as part of that, he just seems to not care what Hollywood thinks of him or if what he says is going to infuriate the creepy perverts that hang around that place.
Whether that’s just part of how he really is or part of the personality he promotes to make himself even funnier, it’s what he does and it’s hilarious.
Yet better is that he’s completely open about it, willing to call out Hollywood hacks at any random moment for being creepy perverts or pedos.
And so there was this old tweet, which didn’t get as much air time as it should have when it came out, but is well worth looking at as the Epstein stuff continues to swirl:
#AfterLife didn’t get nominated for an Emmy this year. But this did. “Outstanding Live Variety Special: The 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards” That’s some conciliation, I guess. So, Thanks, Hollywood. Oh, and stop fucking kids. Cheers π

The “this” in “this did” was the Golden Globes award that he hosted, one in which he called out Hollywood for being friends with Epstein, saying:
We’ve got to drag it out for three hours. You could binge-watch the entire first season of Afterlife instead of watching this show. That’s a show about a man who wants to kill himself because his wife dies of cancer and it’s still more fun than this, OK? Spoiler alert: Season two is on the way so in the end he obviously didn’t kill himself. Just like Jeffrey Epstein.
Shut up. I know he’s your friend but I don’t care. You had to make your own way here in your own plane, didn’t you?
And Tom Hanks didn’t seem to be enjoying that one:

He also hilariously mocked Apple, which goes woke in America but has its phones made in Chinese sweatshops, saying:
“Apple roared into the TV game with ‘The Morning Show,’ a superb drama about the importance of dignity and doing the right thing, made by a company that runs sweatshops in China. Well, you say you’re woke but the companies you work for in China β unbelievable. Apple, Amazon, Disney. If ISIS started a streaming service you’d call your agent, wouldn’t you?”
So, Gervais was nominated for an Emmy regarding that Golden Globes performance, but chose to mock Hollywood and call it out on the Epstein thing rather than pat himself on the back or do the fake humble thing that most Hollywood hacks do when presented with awards or nominations for awards. Good for him.
Louder with Crowder, commenting on Gervais’ hilarious tweet, said:
That always bothers me. Well, obviously the Hollywood (alleged) having sex with kids too. But I mean when award shows get nominated for awards at other award shows. If that doesn’t scream “elitists being out of touch with normal people,” I don’t know what else does. Besides these same people allegedly having sex with kids. Or if they aren’t allegedly pedophiles themselves, being friends with alleged pedophiles or turning a blind eye to all the rampant alleged kid-f*cking going on in the entertainment industry.
