Dinesh D’Souza is on the verge of releasing a new documentary, “Police State.” In the film, D’Souza exposes what he and the others behind the film see as a burgeoning police state in America, one in which the law enforcement agencies are weaponized against normal people and political dissidents for the purpose of preserving the state of things for the current ruling elites.
Actor Kevin Sorbo, known best for his starring roles in Christian films and for being a vocal conservative and Christian on X (formerly Twitter), took to X to support the D’Souza film, which he said is full of facts that Americans need to know.
In the video, Sorbo said, “Hey guys, Kevin Sorbo here. Dinesh D’Souza has done it again. Another amazing film coming out right now. It’s called ‘Police State.’ Filled with facts, filled with truth. Please check it out. Support it. Tell all your friends and go see this movie right now. Thanks, Dinesh!”

D’Souza, commenting on why he made the film, said, “‘Police State’ is a movie that I never wanted to make, because I never wanted America to get to a point where a movie like this needed to be made. I feel like the animal that alerts the herd to approaching danger, so we can take precautionary steps before it’s too late.”
Another conservative personality involved in the film, Dan Bongino, said, “The police state isn’t coming, it’s already here. The signs are everywhere. And once you recognize them, your senses will be heightened to the danger we’re all in.”
Joining them was Nick Searcy, who added, “The relentless persecution of political opponents by the party in power is a hallmark of totalitarian countries. In a police state, the only real crime is daring to question the State. America is now a police state.”
In an interview on the movie, D’Souza added, “It’s a film that I never wanted to make in part because I never wanted America to get to a point where this kind of film needed to be made.We see a lot of things in our country we take separately news of about mass surveillance, digital censorship, political targeting and then political prisoners suddenly turning up in our country.”
He continued, “All of these are signature elements of dictatorial regimes. I’ve been in this country for more than 40 years. I’m so used to thinking of us as the free world and then China, North Korea, Cuba or the old Soviet Union as the unfree world, but now I’m not so sure.”
The movie comes alongside the news that many Americans worry about the direction America’s judicial system is heading, with Rasmussen finding “that 72% of Likely U.S. voters are concerned that America is becoming a police state, including 46% who are Very Concerned. Only 23% are not concerned.”
Rasmussen added, “More than two-thirds of American voters are worried that their country is turning into a police state – a tyrannical government that engages in mass surveillance, censorship, ideological indoctrination, and targeting of political opponents.”
