A dramatic document from the Department of Justice has resulted in the 38-count indictment charges 27 members of Anti-Tren, a splinter faction of the gangster and terrorist organization Tren de Aragua. The suspects have been charged with racketeering, murder, including a sickening 2024 Bronx double homicide, murder-for-hire, kidnapping, and sex trafficking.
However, New York Democrats have rallied behind illegal immigration and made a number of bizarre statements. New York Mayor Zorhan Mamdani used the Quran to justify illegal immigration, while Governor Kathy Hochul has repeatedly criticized ICE and deportations.
U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) explained, “As alleged, these members of Anti-Tren, a splinter faction of the terrorist organization Tren de Aragua, planned and carried out a series of horrific crimes, including gunpoint robberies, murders, and the exploitation of vulnerable young women through sex trafficking.”
Laying out the case, he added, “Tren de Aragua is in the business of murder, sex trafficking, and intimidation, and they brought that business to New York while being unlawfully present in the United States. Today’s charges reflect our commitment to bankrupt TDA and bring its members to justice.”
“The gang members charged today exerted ruthless control over sex trafficking victims through intimidation, brutality, and threats of violence against them and their loved ones — leaving lasting trauma in their wake,” Clayton asserted.
Concluding his comments, he vowed, “The women and men of the SDNY are unwavering in their commitment to bankrupt gangs that corrupt our neighborhoods, prey on the vulnerable, and pursue violence as a way of life.”
However, despite these sickening crimes, state leaders have defended illegal immigration. In a truly bizarre statement, New York Mayor Zorhan Mamdani used a passage from the Quran to encourage his city to accept illegal immigration.

“The story of the Hijra reminds us that the Prophet Muhammad saw them. Was a stranger too, who fled Mecca and was welcomed in Medina Surah Nahal 1642 tells us that for those who immigrated in the Cause of Allah after being persecuted, we will surely bless them with a good home in this world, or as the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu wasallam said, Islam began as something strange, and will go back to being strange,” the socialist alleged, “So glad tidings to the strangers.”
Watch Mamdani’s absurd speech here:
Speaking about another ICE raid, unrelated to the TDA arrests, Kathy Hochul raved, “We will never stand for masked ICE agents separating families and abandoning children. Today’s raids will not make New York safer. What they did was shatter hard-working families who are simply trying to build a life here, just like millions of immigrants before them.”
