In some well-deserved justice, the FBI agent who knelt with George Floyd protestors as the nation burned has been fired. When the news was announced on social media, conservatives rejoiced, with many thanking Trump for returning the country to sanity.

For context, during the summer of 2020, protests erupted across the nation after George Floyd, a criminal with a long history of legal trouble, died while in police custody. Almost immediately, violent riots spread across the country, which caused billions of dollars in property damage.

In any case, announcing the news to her millions of followers on April 30, 2025, Libs of TikTok blasted the woke agent. She quipped, “HAHAHA The FBI has reportedly “reassigned” the agents who kneeled with BLM protesters during the George Floyd Riots, per CNN.”

Echoing her sentiments, prominent conservative podcaster Benny Johnson made a similar post. He said, “🚨BREAKING: FBI reassigns agents who were photographed kneeling during BLM George Floyd terrorism riots. I voted for this. Hopefully reassigned to RFK Jr.’s fat camp.”

In the comments under Johnson’s post, which gathered over 92,000 likes, users chimed in with their reactions. One commentator said, “I hope to goodness that they all get assigned to an administrative position in an office! They can not be trusted to work out in the field on missions!! They have all been infected with WMV!” Replying to the previous comment, one user added, “What a bunch of heroes. I hope they’re reassigned to the parking lot sweeping department.”

Making fun of a portly FBI agent, pictured kneeling before the crowd, many users questioned the bureau’s hiring standards. One such comment read, “He’s the funny thing, not a single one makes me think, wow, I shouldn’t mess with the FBI. However, all them make me think, yeah don’t need to worry about those outta shape fucks – can prob shoot better than them too. What a joke for the top law enforcement agency. Looks like the only thing they enforce is meal time and snack time.”

Despite the good news, some conservatives were unsatisfied and demanded that the agents be fired instead of reassigned. A comment in the vein said, “Fired would be better than reassigned, unless they were somehow forced to participate. Any agent that voluntarily took a knee to show solidarity with the people that were burning the country should be fired.” Agreeing, one reply read, “Reassigned? Sorry to say FBI you have lowered your standards to the point where you gotta wonder will they ever come back? Kash- this is disappointing.”

Rounding out the comments, one user blasted the FBI for keeping the controversial FBI agents on staff. The reaction read, “They still have full duty, full pay, full benefits, and full anonymity. Unlike whistleblowers. The kneelers all should have their clearances suspended. I doubt any of them could make it over 31 months without pay like I have.”

Explaining the controversy, an FBI official defended the agents’ decision. The statement read,  “What the bureau asked those agents to do is to go out on foot patrol, something they were never trained to do. They were being asked to be police officers. In no way were they making a political statement.”
