Woke activist, Wynne Boliek, who worked as a South Carolina high school teacher, was fired after posting on Facebook that America became “greater” following the tragic assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Despite his callous words, he claimed to offer thoughts and prayers” for Kirk’s children.
For context, the post was widely shared and drew instant backlash from conservatives, including Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Rep. William Timmons (R-SC). Mace slammed the celebration of violence and said it was unfit for a teacher. Similarly, Timmons called the post “vile” and “dangerous.” Eventually, Greenville County Schools investigated the situation and terminated Boliek for his vile comments.
In any case, the controversy was kicked off when Wynne Boliek took to Facebook to announce “Thoughts and prayers to his children, but IMHO [in my honest opinion] America became greater today. There I said it.”
Reacting to this unacceptable social media post, Rep. Nancy Mace tweeted, “Greenville County Schools, we believe you may have some explaining to do. No one celebrating the loss of a human life should be allowed anywhere near children.”
Echoing these comments, Rep. William Timmons stated, “A public school teacher in my district is openly celebrating the horrific murder of Charlie Kirk. This is vile, hateful, and dangerous. No one who glorifies political violence should be allowed near students. He should be fired immediately.”
Shortly after the flurry of condemnation online, Greenville County School District issued a statement that read, “We have concluded our investigation of the matter and confirmed the inappropriate message was written by Mr. Boliek.”
Continuing, the statement noted, “He is no longer employed with Greenville County Schools. We strongly condemn the message shared by the former employee as it does not reflect the standards we expect of our staff. We remain committed to upholding the values of professionalism and respect for our students, families, colleagues, and community.”

After Boliek was fired, Timmons returned to social media to announce, “Let this serve as a warning: if you are a public school teacher in my district and you use your platform to spew vile, inappropriate content, you will be held accountable. Being placed on leave is just the first step.”
Unfortunately, as we reported, other teachers have been making vile comments about the recently deceased conservative icon. For example, Amanda Dodson, a Pennsylvania emotional support teacher, reposted a vile attack on Kirk’s character,
The inflammatory post read,“Charlie Kirk was a racist, xenophobic, transphobic, islamophobic, sexist, white nationalist mouthpiece who made millions of dollars inciting hatred in this country. ” Still not done, the teacher alleged, “Whether it was his genocide denial, his transphobic tirades, his pushing for mass deportations, or his normalizing Trumpism for years, the man stood for nothing but hate. I extend absolutely no empathy for people like that.”
Doubling down to an absurd level, the post continued, “In this situation, my empathy is reserved for his children. May they grow up to live in a country that is the total opposite of everything their father envisioned. May all of our children grow up to live in a country that values their lives enough to take gun violence seriously and reject any person who would try to justify senseless gun-related deaths — especially the deaths of children.”
