Things continue to head in a non-positive direction for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, as a new witness has offered to step forward if the disqualification hearing into DA Willis is reopened. The disqualification hearing is investigating whether there was a conflict of interest in DA Willis hiring Nathan Wade given her relationship with him.
The witness who has offered to come forward is Cobb County Chief Deputy District Attorney Cindi Lee Yeager. Yeager offered to testify after meeting with the defense team for one of Trump’s co-defendants in the RICO case DA Willis brought, former Georgia Republican Party chairman David Shafer. Yeager is reportedly ready to testify that the relationship between Willis and Wade began in 2019, well before she appointed him to the RICO case.
Yeager reportedly told Shafer’s defense attorneys that she met multiple times with Terrence Bradley. Bradley is the former law partner of and divorce lawyer for Nathan Wade, and Bradley has also been caught claiming in text that Willis and Wade began their relationship before the 2022 date both have admitted to. According to Yeager, Bradley told her that Willis and Wade met in 2019, and their sexual relationship began around that time.
Fox 5, adding more details on the situation, reports that Yeager reached out to the defense attorneys after Mr. Bradley’s on-stand testimony about the relationship between Willis and Wade. During that testimony, Bradley claimed that he could not remember when the relationship between Willis and Wade began, a claim that came despite the text messages in which he had alleged that their relationship began earlier than the date they give.
Yeager saw that and then contacted defense attorneys, as she claims that Bradley told her that Willis and Wade began a sexual relationship in 2019 at the Municipal Court Continuing Legal Education Conference. Further, Yeager claims that Bradley told her their relationship continued over 2019 and 2020, during which time Willis ran for District Attorney.
Not done there, Yeager also claims that Mr. Bradley informed her that he had “personal knowledge” about the romantic relationship between Willis and Wade, including an apartment they used for their relationship and when they met before November of 2021, when Wade was appointed as a special prosecutor in the RICO case.
Watch Bradley’s testimony here:
Bradley, Fox 5 reports, was originally going to be one of the star witnesses in the case against Willis given his knowledge of the Willis-Wade relationship, but then disappointed on the stand when he first claimed attorney-client privilege and refused to answer questions. Then, after reviewing the rules of that privilege with Judge McAfee, he returned to the stand, but, when testifying, claimed he could not recall details.
Phil Holloway, a legal expert for Townhall, tweeted about Yeager’s allegations and, commenting on them and their likely impact, said, “I cannot emphasize enough how significant this is. The judge will be hard pressed to ignore the proposed testimony of another Georgia prosecutor who is coming forward to correct what she perceives as a fraud perpetrated on the court by Fulton DA #FaniWillis”
