Famous Singer Posts Pro-Musk Message on X, Left Loses It

Famous musician Nick Jonas recently sparked online backlash from the left after posting about multi-billionaire Elon Musk on X.  Liberal users read Jonas’ statement, a brief six-word post encouraging Musk’s innovation, as an endorsement of the incoming Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.) co-chair in the Trump administration.

Sharing a picture of Musk, Jonas wrote the caption, “Take us to the Year 3000,” a reference to the Jonas Brother’s 2006 cover of the song “Year 3000.” Given Musk’s foray against the Democratic Party and full-blown Republican activism, those on the left did not handle the post well. One disappointed user wrote, “And just like that…. You ruined everything AGAIN, Nicholas”

Another user commented, “Wait, you’re showing your support for Elon right before coming to Broadway?! Oof man, really bad timing. The Broadway community, we are made up of everyone who Elon, along with his maga bestie, is trying to silence. I was in auditions to understudy you, so glad I didn’t get it.”=

Detracting from Jonas’ upbringing and background, another person wrote, “Nick Jonas is a white cis American male who grew up in a very Christian household…are we honestly surprised that he loves Elon Musk? Disappointed, but not surprised.” One user indicated they will no longer support Jonas’ music, writing, “I’m cancelled my plan to go to Jonas Brothers 20th Anniversary Concert next year due to Nick Jonas support Elon Musk that he had been working on it! Unbelievable smh 🤦🏾‍♂️”

However, in the sea of criticism, others suggested the controversy was overblown. Dismissing the backlash and pointing out signs of Jonas’ Democratic leanings, another person wrote, “Fandoms are so weird. They’re mad at Nick Jonas, calling him a Trumper and wishing him death because he replied to an Elon Musk tweet. Nick Jonas was a vocal Biden supporter and while I think interacting with Musk is cringey, people on this app have yet again gone too far.”

Despite the push back, inside sources close to Jonas claim he will not back down from his statement. “Nick is not going to waver from his post on Elon Musk nor will he double down, and doesn’t plan on deleting it. He thinks many are taking things a little overboard in how they are reacting to it all… For Nick, there are a lot more important things to worry about than dealing with online trolls over what he thought was a fun and non-drama filled post,” they told the Daily Mail.

The individual familiar with the matter continued, “Support or not, Nick was trying to be clever over making some type of statement or announcement of support, but on the internet, you can’t do anything without getting attacked. This will pass and Nick has already moved on from whatever controversy this somehow has made.”

In other news regarding Elon Musk, The American Tribune reported on the Tesla founder sounding off on the spending bill surrender.  Fox News host Steve Doocy recently noted comments from Musk, pressing House Speaker Mike Johnson, “You do not know. You know, who also does not like this? Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, just tweeted: ‘This bill should not pass.’ The only way you’re going to be able to pass it now, Mr. Speaker, is with Democrats. If you if you could, what’s your message to Elon Musk?”
