An ESPN host paused on live television to pray to God for the well being of injured NFL player Damar Hamlin, leaving viewers both shocked and impressed.
Dan Orlovsky, co-host of NFL Live, went off the leftist script that says we are supposed to mock faith and worship “The Science” by bowing his head and offering a heart-felt plea to our Creator.
You can see that here:
Dan Orlovsky didn’t just send off a ‘praying for Damar Hamlin’ tweet.
He paused during NFL Live, bowed his head, and prayed.
Powerful, brave, and genuine. 🙏

“God, we come to You in these moments that we don’t understand, that are hard,” ” Orlovsky began. “Because we believe that coming to You and praying to You has impact. We’re sad. We’re angry.”
“We want answers, but some things are unanswerable,” he continued. “We just want to pray. Truly come to You and pray for strength for Damar, for healing for Damar, for comfort for Damar. To be with their family and give them peace. If we didn’t believe prayer worked we wouldn’t ask this of You, God. I believe in prayer. We believe in prayer. We lift up Damar Hamlin’s name in Your name. Amen.”
It’s doubtful that many people had “ESPN host prays to God on air” on their 2023 bingo card. Between the House Freedom Caucus delivering a resounding message to the establishment and voting thrice against RINO insider Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House and now a Disney employee openly praying to God the Almighty, this year is off to an unexpectedly welcome start.
Louder with Crowder noted that public prayer and profession of faith is hardly in vogue in contemporary society. Between Anthony Fauci playing the part of the cultish leftist’s Covid messiah and Christians being arrested for silently praying in Western nations, no one saw this coming.
Louder with Crowder wrote:
Few things trigger leftists more than prayer, or the idea of praying. Mocking “thoughts and prayers” after a tragedy are Democrat’s [sic] favorite pastime. We’ve even seen a woman in England get arrested for praying in the “wrong” place. People who pray are ignorant rubes who don’t believe in The Science, according to people who then light their Anthony Fauci worship candles.
Yet when Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed after having a wide receiver collide dead on with his chest, prayer was the first thing people turned to. Or, “hashtag prayer,” at least. That wasn’t enough for ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky who did something you rarely see anyone do on TV. Pray. Not only pray OUT LOUD with WORDS, but also acknowledge the existence of God.
The message of Christ has been resonating loudly ever since the tragic collapse of Hamlin on the gridiron this past Monday. Hamlin himself has previously stated that his belief in God and his powerful faith have given him peace and purpose in life.
“My faith is in God. So whatever He has planned for me, that’ll be it,” he once said in an interview.
The American Tribune reported soon after the incident that his own faith, as well as his religious community – including his family and previous schools – have repeated that message.
While much has been made of the injury, the Hamlin family has continued to lean on the strong Christian faith that they and Damar held closely. Through the NFL, the Hamlin family made a statement to thank those who are showing support for their son.
