Elon Musk Causes Internet Uproar By Saying Which Republican Nominee He Would Vote For In 2024

Twitter’s Billionaire owner Elon Musk shook up the political world with his latest political commentary, suggesting he would continue his newfound Republican voting ways if Florida’s two-term governor Ron DeSantis were the GOP nominee in 2024.

Musk, who once voted for Barack Obama, has changed his tune after recognizing that the current Democrat Party is full of woke, economically-illiterate tyrants. He melted leftist brains when he shared a message to voters ahead of midterms saying a Republican vote would reign in Democrat hegemony.

“To independent-minded voters,” Musk tweeted, “Shared power curbs the worst excesses of both parties, therefore I recommend voting for a Republican Congress, given that the Presidency is Democratic.”

It was a lengthier explanation of an earlier statement in which he simply said: “Vote Republican.”

Now, Musk is once more perturbing leftist losers by remarking that he would cast a ballot for DeSantis if arguably the best governor in the nation is able to supplant everyone else in the Republican primaries.

“My preference for the 2024 presidency is someone sensible and centrist,” Musk reasoned, before continuing: “I had hoped that would be the case for the Biden administration, but have been disappointed so far.”

When asked point blank if he would support a DeSantis ticket in 2024, Musk responded with a  single word. “Yes,” he replied.

An additional qualifying statement was provided to give his preferred presidential candidate some context. “As a reminder, I was a significant supporter of the Obama-Biden presidency and (reluctantly) voted for Biden over Trump,” Musk explained.

This is not the first time Musk has opined positively on DeSantis. This past summer, he likewise voiced support for the freedom-oriented governor, to which DeSantis jokingly replied he would “welcome support from African-Americans.” Musk is of South African descent.

The Blaze noted that Musk sees DeSantis as a clear favorite in the general election, much like he was in Florida’s gubernatorial contest, assuming Biden runs for a second term.

Musk had previously said in June he was leaning towards supporting DeSantis for president in 2024, and added the Florida governor would easily defeat Biden in the election.

    …

DeSantis earlier this month defeated Democratic opponent Charlie Crist by nearly 20 percentage points to be re-elected as Florida governor and cemented himself as the Republican Party’s top rising star.

Political pundits have been doling out high marks to DeSantis, who is seen as a potential challenger to former President Donald Trump in the 2024 field of Republican presidential candidates. Trump announced 10 days ago he was running for election again in 2024.

Aside from rankling the usual suspects over his suggestion to vote Republican, Musk has also this week considered breaking up the Apple/Google monopoly in the phone market. It was recently mentioned that Twitter might be banned from app stores on the two largest networks, which would obviously leave the mogul few options.

“If Apple & Google boot Twitter from their app stores, @elonmusk should produce his own smartphone,” asked conservative voice Liz Wheeler. “Half the country would happily ditch the biased, snooping iPhone & Android. The man builds rockets to Mars, a silly little smartphone should be easy, right?”

Musk wasted no time offering a response. “I certainly hope it does not come to that, but, yes, if there is no other choice, I will make an alternative phone,” he said.

Surely, if the man can lead companies that sends rockets to space and creates some of the best electric vehicles on the market – including redoing Twitter’s platform – surely he could compete against the monopolistic phone giants.
