Elon Musk, the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), slammed swamp-creature Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) in an epic social media post. The putdown came in reaction to the Democrats sending a fundraising email defending the controversial ActBlue donation platform amidst a massive corruption investigation.
For context, ActBlue, a Democratic fundraising platform, has been criticized for allegedly violating campaign finance law, facilitating foreign political donations, and committing identity theft. Additionally, the organization has been linked to several violent anti-Tesla protests, drawing the ire of Republicans.
In any case, the incident began when Elon Musk announced the connection between ActBlue and the anti-Tesla riots that swept the nation. On March 28, 2025, he posted, “An investigation has found 5 ActBlue-funded groups responsible for Tesla “protests”: Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project, and Democratic Socialists of America.”
The tech genius continued his exposé, “ActBlue funders include George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Sandler, Patricia Bauman, and Leah Hunt-Hendrix. ActBlue is currently under investigation for allowing foreign and illegal donations in criminal violation of campaign finance regulations.”
Concluding his initial post, Elon added, “This week, 7 ActBlue senior officials resigned, including the associate general counsel. If you know anything about this, please post in replies. Thanks, Elon.”
In reaction, Sen. Mark Kelly, an Arizona Democrat, cynically used the scandal as a fundraising tactic. During an email sent to his supporters, Kelly wrote, “We’ve never seen anything like this. And right now, I need your help,” and urged his donors to “raise as much as we can, as quickly as we can.”
When conservatives caught wind of the fundraising ploy, they were incensed. One prominent conservative voice posited, “Democrats like Mark Kelly are fundraising off the criminal probe into ActBlue.” Responding to the controversy, Elon reacted with a quizzical emoji.

In the comments under Elon’s post, conservatives were quick to express their disgust with the deep-state Democrat. One such comment said, “The probe into ActBlue has been going on for months, even back in Joe Biden’s presidency. Democrats are acting like this investigation was Trump’s idea, which is just not true.”
Building on this point, other social media users blasted the senator for his shameless, money-hungry behavior. One of the replies read, “Democrat politicians are beyond shameless.” Another snappy reply stated, “Democrats fundraise off of criminals all the time.”
Rounding out the comments, a lengthy reply dug into the details of this scandal. The user wrote, “The NYT reports that ActBlue is in “turmoil.” Mysteriously, seven top executives have all left in the past three weeks, several of whom had all been there more than a decade. None of them will explain on the record why they left.”
Concluding his thought, the account said, “The last remaining lawyer at ActBlue’s general counsel’s office has been locked out of his email and put on leave after sending internal messages that “we have Whistleblower Policies for a reason.” Two unions representing ActBlue employees are openly questioning the group’s stability and call the situation “alarming.” They’re demanding the hiring of an independent investigator. More than $16 billion has passed through ActBlue in the past 20 years. What could they possibly be hiding?”
