What would you call a guy who fills a room with pictures of himself? An egomaniac? A total narcissist? Someone that needs to raise a family, make some friends, or at least find a few landscape views that he likes enough to replace a portrait of himself with?
All those are probably accurate, but Elon Musk really hit the nail on the head with his recent tweet about Dr. Anthony Fauci doing exactly that. Posting about an article profiling Fauci, Elon said “Creepy.” Then, joking, Elon said “Maybe he just loves looking at science?”
Maybe he just loves looking at science?

That comment was a response to a tweet about the New York Times article profiling Fauci by Washington Examiner reporter Jerry Christmas, who said: The very first sentence of this NYT profile: “The walls in Dr. Anthony S. Fauci’s home office are adorned with portraits of him, drawn and painted by some of his many fans.”
And it stayed just as bad following that sentence, with the beginning of the article saying:
“The walls in Dr. Anthony S. Fauci’s home office are adorned with portraits of him, drawn and painted by some of his many fans. The most striking one is by the singer Joan Baez…. Fauci seemed a little uncomfortable with people knowing about the pictures. He said that previously when they were captured on camera, the ‘far right’ attacked him as an ‘egomaniac.’ If someone goes to the trouble of sending him a portrait of himself, he said, he would ‘feel like I’m disrespecting them” if he discarded it.”
The one about Fauci being creepy wasn’t Elon’s only interesting tweet recently. In another good tweet, Elon kicked 2023 off on a high note, promising that it would be interesting and saying “Hope you’re having a great day 1 2023! One thing’s for sure, it won’t be boring.”
In another tweet, Elon attacked climate alarmist Paul Ehrlich, saying “His “Population Bomb” book might the most damaging anti-human thing ever written”.
Elon also said “Mostly accurate tbh” in response to a tweet asking if a recent Trump Truth Social post was accurate, In that post, Trump blamed pro-lifers that got what they wanted and then didn’t vote, saying:
It wasn’t my fault that the Republicans didn’t live up to expectations in the MidTerms. I was 233-20! It was the “abortion issue,” poorly handled by many Republicans, especially those that firmly insisted on No Exceptions, even in the case of Rape, Incest, or Life of the Mother, that lost large numbers of Voters. Also, the people that pushed so hard, for decades, against abortion, got their wish from the U.S. Supreme Court, & just plain disappeared, not to be seen again. Plus, Mitch stupid $’s!
Then, in another tweet, Elon suggested that the WEF’s Klaus Schwab looks like a bad guy, saying, in response to a Jordan Peterson tweet asking “Who is Klaus Schwab, anyway, and why are elected world “leaders” accepting and promoting his vision? Stakeholder capitalism sounds a lot like “socialist Utopianism” to me and to plenty of others,” “Not sure, but after watching some of his talks online, he would not be an obvious choice to play the protagonist in a movie.
