Elon Musk posted a bombshell revelation in which he exposed the Democratic Party for using fraudulent IRS refunds to incentivize illegal immigration in an attempt to secure a permanent voting bloc, which, according to Musk, explains why progressives are so desperate to stop the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
For context, DOGE has gone after the IRS for rampant fraud and waste by pushing for access to the Integrated Data Retrieval System, which contains sensitive taxpayer information, including bank records and personal data for millions of Americans. While Democrats have criticized this move, it is vital to protecting Social Security.
Such was shown when Elon Musk took to X on March 30, 2025, to expose evidence of widespread tax refund fraud. He said, “IRS refund fraud payments are one of several means used by the Democratic Party to attract and retain illegal immigrants in the USA. That’s why they are so opposed to @DOGE
stopping this!”
Continuing, the DOGE head slammed Democrats for facilitating this fraud for their selfish ends. Musk added, “The Democratic Party is aiding and abetting fraudulent government payments to illegals in order to establish a permanent one-party majority nationally, just like they did in California. The more you look into it, the crazier it gets.”
Musk’s post reacted to a video by conservative investigative reporter Savanah Hernandez who, posted proof of tax refund fraud. Her post read, “I caught a @jacksonhewitt employee coaching illegals on how they could get up to $14,000 in tax refunds whether they’re “working or not” Perhaps figuring out who is receiving tax refunds is the next thing @elonmusk should look into 
.”
Explaining in the video, Hernandez recounted written material she received from one of the alleged fraudsters. She stated, “The paper says that if you have one child, you can get over $7,000 in a refund, and if you have up to three children, you can get over 14,000 so the Jackson Hewitt employee who initially handed me this paper after finding out I was a journalist, took the paper away.”

Building on that point, the journalist described the massive impact of this graft. She concluded, “That’s why this one’s so dirty, because a migrant ended up giving me another copy, and he stated that if he’s put on camera and this goes out, that legal will have to get involved.”
Conservatives were enraged by the footage and expressed their anger in the comments of Elon’s post. One of the comments read, “Illegals are getting refunds even though they don’t pay taxes. That’s in addition to all of the other freebies they get. This is how Democrats buy their votes.”
In response to the stunning footage, some users provided anecdotes to support Musk’s point. One of the replies read, “I worked 18 years in construction in Houston. Most of the workers were illegals, and I got to be good friends with a few. They showed me tax refund checks for thousands back in the late 80’s. A local to them Hispanic CPA did their tax returns, they told me…”
